And I don't think I'd have left the trash lady behind. Part of me feels that shit will come back to haunt him. She had to have something that makes people want to follow her for her to reign over the trash people. It's very well possible she'll work her way back up to that position with another group and Rick may need her in the future.
I just think Rick was being short sighted in that moment. He was like "sure can't help us anyway" because in his mind she has no more people, no more guns, so she's of no use to me RIGHT NOW. That's just dumb I think.

I think he gonna lose his shit when he does find out. Has it ever been discussed or estimated just how many people Negan has on his team? Because he lost a few fighters in the trash people, they lost a few fighting, and the Hilltop has about 40 of their men so they might be down a few. You think about what they've lost and if the jungle women decide to join the fight, that could possibly give Rick the win in the numbers game.
I think Negan is hiding something, in the sense that he knows they're down manpower, weaponry, etc.
They took the trash people's weapons, so they got more of that. Trash lady won't be much help to anyone, all of her people are dead. And I'm still not understanding why they just handed over their weapons like that?
Bro it's a trash dump. They can hide shit in plain sight. You see the way she went to that applesauce, you don't think she got other shit hidden in there? They handed over the weapons that Simon could see. They didn't go dig or look around for more and I'll bet that had more stuff hidden there.
Plus they talked about that place having solar panels and a helipad back there. That lady is hiding something and the way Rick moves and the way he stay fuckin up making bad choices, you know they (the writers) will have this hurt him down the road.
Ok. But why hand over the guns that were visible? They got guns, you got guns. Why not just open fire on them. And also, why hasn't anyone just opened fire on Negan and his crew? You can hear them pulling up. Simon just walked up in there like it was nothing. So negan got all the brave smart people on his team?
Negan got more people than them individually, so popping off might not be the best thing.
But when you start putting people together, like adding the numbers of the Hilltop, the Kingdom, the Jungle, Alexandria... Then you start making a difference.
It's like what DMX said, and it's slowly coming true for the Saviors.... I know I'm paraphrasing, but it went something like
You never want people to fear you... Because if a group of people that fear you get together, they no longer fear you.

People complaining about his demise being given an entire episode are morons. The show was literally based around him and his dads relationship with leanings of him being the only true hope for future society.. Being pissed about them giving the guy copious airtime is just bitching for the sake of bitching.

Damn so there was no discussion on the episode last night? I actually fell asleep on it and didn’t watch hardly any of the Talking Dead. When I woke up they were saying the doctor had gotten killed; I changed the channel to the Cavs-Lakers game
Shit is just a soap opera that has lost it's touch. Drag on. Drag on. Drag on.
Problem with this show is that most of the time, it has no idea how to handle Drama.
So for the most part, you're not even caring about most of the characters when they bite it.
I didn't even care about Carl.
And some situations have dragged on way too long.
Though I will say that what went down with Jadis was touching and sad.
Because Girl has NOTHING now.
And when she started speaking "normally", that was a nice stroke of brilliance on PollyAnna MacIntosh's part.
I even felt for her after Rick blew her off.
The show needs more emotional depth like that.
So for the most part, you're not even caring about most of the characters when they bite it.

There's an opportunity to turn Maggie into a governor type opportunity to redeem Morgan. Opportunity to kill Laroquette opportunities galore
and everyone is a little too scattered but that'll change. I haven't lost faith

Yeah they must have changed writers or did something. I never liked the Negan character but his group is believable, world gone to shit so you set up a dictatorship and take over. I don’t know if they are in the comics but whats NOT BELIEVABLE are the trash people and King Eziekel and people. Got people living in junk yard and regressed back to caveman speech and then got dude with a tiger thinking they are in medieval times. You can’t take the show when they keep having those storylines in the rotation. With Maggie I’m asking myself HOW did she get into a position to take over a whole society? She came there pregnant, sick and almost on near death and now she calling all the shots...NO
