Second of all, it's sick that there are people (especially Black women) who put blame on the young girls who were with him, and it's sick that there are Black women who support this dude. When the tape came out, I actually heard some women say that they wished that it was them in the tape, and if they were in the same situation (being underaged and being approached by R. Kelly), they would've done the same damn thing!
Third of all, there were young girls who hooked up with older men when they were in high school. It doesn't matter how many for the purposes of this conversation. One is too many. These women thought they were cool and adult at the time, but they did not realize that they were being preyed upon. These women realized that fact as they got older, and that's why they're critical of R. Kelly now. They realize that it no longer looks "cool and grown-up" anymore.
Fourth of all, these guys that were rejected by these girls in high school for older men should be thanking God that they got turned down, because they would have been messing with damaged goods, which would have only led to heartbreak and headaches down the road. Just look at where many of these women are now.
Lastly, this situation shows that there are many people in the Black community that have varying degrees of mental illness (those who are abused, and those doing the abusing), and if these issues aren't adressed, the trend will continue, and we will continue to spiral downward.

I had 2 girls in my school in JHS, always with Gucci bags and had dated dudes with cars that picked them up. Guys couldn't of been in HS. Had to be older. They bragged about it. Went on to HS with them, they also still never dated anyone in school. But those were just those two we all noticed. We are a large group of friends who all went from JHS then to HS just by chance. Maybe about 75 of us, and all pretty much keep in touch via FB.

Back in the day, there was Pitts HS, for pregnant girls, on Walnut where it turns into Lisbon Ave, by Washington Park; then Custer HS (now Barak Obama) was the first to have a "daycare" within the school and they shut down Lady Pitts, and then Washinton HS got one.
