Another example is the life of Roberto Clemente. He was a dark-skinned Puerto Rican who played in MLB after Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier. He wrote about how badly he and his fellow Black teammates were treated particularly when they traveled through the South. So I'm going to have to agree with @Dr. Truth here.
