Been hearing the early buzz for this upcoming series of late ...

Poker Face is an upcoming American television series created by Rian Johnson for the streaming service Peacock. It is a "case-of-the-week" mystery comedy-drama.[1] Natasha Lyonne executive produces and stars in the series.[2]

Peacock announced the series in March 2021, with Lyonne attached and Johnson as director.[2] Nora and Lilla Zuckerman were named as co-showrunners.[2]

Poker Face will consist of 10 episodes and is scheduled to debut on January 26, 2023.[1][3]

According to Rian Johnson, the series will be a character-driven, case-of-the-week mystery comedy-drama.[4] Each episode follows the howcatchem format popularized by Columbo.[5]

Looks like the first 4 episodes are available online now. The series will move to a weekly format starting next week ...

I've seen the first 20 mins of the premiere so far ... like the vibe of the show. Gonna continue with it. Looks like quite the guest list of stars throughout the season, as noted later in the trailer ...

Started this series yesterday - watched the premiere. They've released 2 eps so far. Brett Goldstein (plays "Roy Kent" on Ted Lasso) and Bill Lawrence (also a co-creator from Lasso) are 2 of the show's creators. If you like that series ... you'll dig this. Enjoyed the comedic situations, mixed with the underlying heart of the show. Good role for Segel ... he's believable. Liked the supporting cast as well. Episode ran just over a half hour or so.

Shrinking is an American comedy-drama television series created by Brett Goldstein, Bill Lawrence and Jason Segel. The series premiered on January 27, 2023 on Apple TV+.

A therapist, Jimmy Laird, dealing with severe grief begins to breach ethical barriers by telling his patients what he completely thinks, resulting in massive changes to his and their lives.[1]

The Accused is off to a great start the first episode was extremely involving and i thought it was great as the story threads tie together for a gut punch ending
Episode 2 was a bit more laid back but it also gave a great view of how the legal system works across the United States

The Legend of Vox Machina 2 episodes into season 1 and the main thing i kept hearing about this series was it's like Dungeons and Dragons so it was a nice surprise to discover how adult oriented it is from violence to sexuality actually reminding me of some mature comic books ive read over the years.

Hunters 2 episodes in to season 2 and things pick up right where they left off as the Nazi hunters still seek out their main target Hitler. Always edgy and unpredictable im very interested to see how it will all play out as the series ends.

Extremely pissed over the cancelation of Let The Right One In im hoping there is word that another network or streaming service picks it up at least for one season to tie everything up

Shrinking on Apple TV this dramedy about Jimmy, a grieving therapist, tries a new approach with his patients
2 episodes in and im enjoying the when a therapist needs a therapist theme. Jason Segel and Harrison Ford.
fit their roles perfectly

Man....I feel you on that. Personally, I'd say the first episode starts off slow and then you see a main character not make it by the end of the show...so you'r thinking this is about to get fast paced.....it gets much faster about mid-way into the series......If it didn't get a second season I wouldn't trip but the characters are intriguing and to see how they tell their story. They can do a lot with it. It might be episode 5 is where they sold me to stick to the end.

Yeah I slept on this show...I'm all in after the first episode....BBC/HBO collabs have been dope in the past...."I may destroy you", "Years and Years'.
I had a disconnect when I watched the trailer awhile ago...thinking these kids look way too young to be playing the parts they playing...but I guess they look their ages since kids are graduating at younger ages.
The jargon and situations and characters seem to be a lot more authentic and realistic than Billions. Also interesting to see the financial industry in London as opposed to Wall Street

That's unfortunate re: Let the Right One In.

Agreed re: Shrinking ... definitely enjoying it so far. Well-cast ... have recommended it to friends & family / coworkers.

Chris and Andy are joined by the chairman and CEO of HBO and HBO Max content, Casey Bloys, to talk about how programming for the network has changed since they shifted more squarely into streaming (5:15), the changes the network has been through since merging with Warner Bros. (33:05), and how the success of shows like House of the Dragon has informed what HBO wants to do going forward (54:16).

Gonna get caught up on 1923, Godfather of Harlem, Your Honor and Mayor of Kingstown in the next few days.

Also, have 2 episodes left with season 1 of Fleishman is in Trouble. Solid season.

Looking forward to the return of You (season 4) later this week. They'll be splitting the season into 2 parts. 5 eps on Feb. 9th, and the remaining 5 eps a month later on March 9th. Got caught up on this show in recent years after I had heard about the popularity after a few seasons, and once it got the big boost in viewership when Netflix picked it up. The narration works really well on this series ...

HBO Max’s Abandoned TV Shows Adopted by Tubi and Roku
By Savannah Salazar

If you were looking to finish your late Westworld binge, you can finally exhale because it looks like that marquee HBO title (and the rest of HBO Max’s axed shows) have found a new home. As we previously reported, Warner Bros. Discovery is licensing a majority of its shows that were canceled or removed from Max last year to FAST channels. The company announced today that those platforms would include Tubi and the Roku Channel. Starting February 1, Tubi will be the first free streamer to feature the cut shows, housing more than 225 titles with ads and introducing 14 Warner Bros. channels — from WB TV Series, Reality, and Family to ones like WB TV Sweet Escapes and WB TV Keeping It Real — to play the shows on. More than 90 Warner Bros. films will also be made available. The Roku Channel plans to launch the same axed WBD offerings in spring 2023, right before HBO Max and Discovery+ are set to make their merger official.

Here’s a few of the shows coming to Tubi and the Roku Channel:

Westworld
Raised by Wolves
Legendary
FBoy Island
The Nevers
Finding Magic Mike
The Time Traveler’s Wife
Head of the Class

Enjoying the season thus far. The most recent 5th episode (nursing home-focused) was one of my faves.

It's funny how i can see a number of shows trimming their budgets by either having characters exit for no good reason,or just with repetitive scenes

Truth Be Told definitely did the aforementioned. The show is still good but it always has a slow burn start but starts to become more involving as it goes along. Plus there are some very interesting characters and it's going to be fun to see how things play out for them.

The Flash also did the aforementioned by adding a Groundhog Day factor. There are some good set ups for future episodes but they are still going to go the filler episode route. Not sure why some characters are being upgraded when the series is ending but i do see this final season being drawn out to mid June
