In her new Netflix documentary Martha, the lifestyle impresario says that Mark Burnett, the executive producer behind The Martha Stewart Show, "missed the point of Martha Stewart. A live audience, crummy music, that was more like prison than being at Alderson."

I'm 3 episodes in on this very short series based on events that took place in Rio, Brazil, in 1993 in what has come to be known as the Candelária Massacre
I feel empathy and i have found the episodes to be very involving but I also feel the Netflix synopsis for this series doesn't really sum up the multi layered true and tragic story. I'm wondering if my predictions about how Netflix will choose to end the series will be right.

The Day of the Jackal is an upcoming British television drama serial adaptation of the Frederick Forsyth novel of the same name. It is starring Eddie Redmayne and Lashana Lynch. It is produced by Ronan Bennett and directed by Brian Kirk.

Premise

Reimagined into a contemporary political setting, the classic novel centres on a ruthless British assassin, known only as the "Jackal", and the intelligence officer tasked with capturing him.[1]

Yeah I only knew Javon Walton before watching this show as well. Yeah they def portrayed Josephine as the head earlier on but started seeing signs of Kelly being the real sociopath starting from the scene of her being the 1 to use the knife during their CMC blood oath. Even the eps showing the backstory of Reena's parents were good, really could see how Reena felt to be an outsider even more with them being Jehovah's witness on top of her ethnic background in Victoria

Thanks for the intel on the 1997. My dad said he really liked the 1970s original.

A couple of coworkers said this new one has been on their radar for awhile. A change of pace for Redmayne.

Shoutout to Reggie Noble, lol.

Does anyone remember this series from 25 years ago?

I was just thinking about it the other day as Olsen's name came up in conversation in an entertainment podcast I was listening to.

I remember liking it & caught a number of episodes while in college. I think I might look for it online & download it for nostalgic reasons to watch in the future ...
