How much of that is DCEU though? I know Penguin isn't DCEU. I'm curious about Lobo but have no interest in Superman as a main character.

I like Gunn but he seemed to have peaked with GoTG 2 and everything he released after, IMO, hasn't been that great.

All that being said, I do agree there's still a market for superheroes but maybe not to the same extent as it was when the MCU was at its peak.

Every genre goes through that comedies westerns period pieces musicals etc etc.

Marvel set a historic bar so it's a little skewed but I don't think we are going to see such sustained excellence like that ever again. Pixar, Miramax, had insane runs with box office and awards in recent history. I think we are going get runs more similar to that going forward. Consistent ok good great content.

Which would be heaven for all involved

The fans and overall public didn't appreciate the Marvel run enough in real time. I do hope they have one again just to show out.

And I want DC to have one because those characters deserve it too.

I wish someone would do a deep fake and remove Ezra Miller from the film and replace him with someone else, fuck it the Flash TV show actor. Minus whale fix some of the special effects while they are at it.

This movie could have been good and it actually was decent, I just could not enjoy it because of Ezra Miller.

Supergirl was great and Michael Keaton as Batman was awesome. It was also nice to see additional scenes with Zod and the rest of the Kryptonians.

What makes you say the overall public didn't appreciate the run? It was the public making those movies billion dollar enterprises.

I think Disney just got greedy and didn't give the fans time to breath particularly after Endgame.

I say that because they think the run should be infinite.

Also people seem to forget who was in charge during that era and now that Feige got back full control under Iger?

They back on track.

And contend the off track was NOT as bad as prople said it was.

I think the audience expected consistent quality. For the most part the MCU provided that but there were misses which, honestly, should be expected. Everything can't be a hit...

But, for some of those movies, they probably should've just squashed it before putting it out there. That's where the greed part comes in.

Basically the fans had unrealistic expectations and Disney was greedy so the MCU hit what, hopefully, is only a brief hiccup.
