His individual performance to me was masterful. I didn't think the OVERALL movie was good. But Ezra, Keaton, Supergirl were all putting in serious work.

I ate that shit up it might've been nostalgia getting me but man I loved Flash. But the shit surrounding it......it should've been a one off like they are doing.
I'm really happy you liked it like that. Don't let us complaining mess that up. It's not a sh*tshow on screen by any means.
It took way too long to come out (ie Black Adam), expectations were way too high, folks hyped it up too much and Ezra is an asshole.
Plus the CGI ending looked off, relatives of the dead were pissed, Nic Cage was pissed and the twist ending was ruined way earlier.
And actors who were IN THE MOVIE (I see you Zod) trashed the entire movie and genre and tried to DEFEND Ezra.
Movie can't survive ALL that unless it's perfect.
And like it or not even you would agree it ain't that.
But even despite all that? That movie was NOT the worst. And I would actually revisit it to try to watch it baggage free.

Mannn... I had to stop the movie when Iris first showed up. Ezra is WAAAYYYY too gay for me to believe his version of the Flash was in love with any female, much less a sister. Can DC at least cast a guy who likes full grown women to play a character that has to act like he's in love with one?

DC is still a shit show as Marvel is getting its second wind after Deadpool & Wolverine. If superheroes films are still viable for the rest of this decade into the next, it will likely be Marvel holding on to the lead.

I got faith in Gunn but I don't like these recent revelations because they are internal no gossip real inner working management stuff. Something everyone was worried about when Gunn was hited and why Safrin was put there.

How much of that is DCEU though? I know Penguin isn't DCEU. I'm curious about Lobo but have no interest in Superman as a main character.
I like Gunn but he seemed to have peaked with GoTG 2 and everything he released after, IMO, hasn't been that great.
All that being said, I do agree there's still a market for superheroes but maybe not to the same extent as it was when the MCU was at its peak.
It's all under Gunn. DC studios. He is the boss of all these comic book properties: live action animated video games and even has some sway with Lee in print.
