this kind of proves my point about so many people being ignorant about how government works, and depend too much on Twitter historians, who a lot of times don't know what the fuck they are talking about.
Roe vs. Wade is a law. A law that was protected for decades by the Supreme Court. A political shift in the Court is the reason the law is now being challenged and on the verge of being over turned.
Any socialist/libreal agenda can get get stopped by the Sumpreme court. Voting rights, student debt relief, reparations, etc can all be stopped cold by a SCOTUS ruling. People are already questioning the legalities of some of these things.
A perfect example is the relief bill for black farmers. Dems passed it. Racist tied it up in court. Now it has to fight it way through a combination of liberal and conservative judges, depending on where the cases and appeals are being heard. Meanwhile, the farners ain't getting shit unless it clears the courts.
Like is Civics no longer taught in schools? How is such a large portion of the internet like this?
This is the same type of goofy logic that I used when voting for Jill Stein in 2016. Americans don't care about 2 feet in front of them and you're out projecting that they're 8-dimensional chess players.
Didn't one million Americans die of covid? Does that strike you as a nation that cares about its citizens? If covid first appeared in March 2020, why did it take until March 2022 for the government to send out masks?

Roe vs Wade was freedom. They are taking that away and the GOP is making a woman's choice illegal across the country. The gays will be next and then us.

I know there are some Republicans who are very upset this decision came out right now especially in purple districts. I always said that Democrats was going to keep control after the midterms but their numbers would have been more smaller in the house……but now the Dems are going to gain more seats in the house.

I don't really give two shits about abortion rights, but you really got to love the gender-based identity politics that brought us here. First, Ruth Bader Ginsburg in all of her petty arrogance refuses to listen to Barack Obama and retire in 2014 when Democrats still held the majority in the Senate. Then, the Democrats clear the way for Hillary Clinton, because after a black man is elected president, the country is supposedly ready for a woman president. Joe Biden would've had 8 years of Obama's momentum and would've wiped the floor with Donald Trump. But no, they just had to hand the keys to the worst possible candidate in Hillary Clinton.

No it's not that's only on things that don't require a 60 votes like the supreme court for example or reconciliation.

Yes I know of no mechanism they could use without 60 votes unless Democrats remove the filibuster rule. Perhaps they will do it now but they've been shook everytime it was presented.
