The American citizens who work in the arms industry get a lot of it. It's like asking what we get out of USAID. Ask American farmers whose crops used to be bought for that program what they're getting now that the program has been shelved. They're getting nothing now.
At the end of the day, we share a planet with other countries. Every country, especially one as global as this one, needs allies. A lone wolf will never survive in this type of world. The age of hermit kingdoms is long gone.

Not sure about the source there, but I doubt he got thrown out. Zelensky seems like the type of person to have bounced, knowing full well what the temperature was after that little blow up. Yeah, we spend a shitload of money overseas. Whether its military, civilians, equipment, or contractors, the amount of money is a lot (trust me, I know). Nothing can be savaged at this point.
