This white boy crazy as fuck.
Fam that was right on target.I'm sorry to butt in... "belly crawl...powerful''...WHO IN THE ROYAL FUCK DOES HE THINK CHENEY IS? He orchestrated a 20-plus year war, and was very likely a shadow president for 4 years.
The fact that even HIS evil ass realizes an IRREVERSIBLE THREAT on the rise, and is prompted to support someone who would otherwise be his political natural enemy is VERY SIGNIFICANT.
There is a DIFFERENT power structure on the rise, calling itself conservative. They are FASCISTS. There is a difference.
Unrestricted liberalism leads to totalitarianism, usually MIS-identified as communism. True Communism, the idea being "to each according to his need, from each according to his ability" is actually a very positive thing, but is only known to exist among very small communities.
Unrestricted conservatism leads to fascism (same thing as totalitarianism, but with the motivators being race and religion). In either case, government has a subordinate relationship with big business, i.e. billionaires.
In essence, that diatribe amounts to 6 lbs. of horseshit.
We really don't have time to entertain back porch philosophizing over a few 40s of liquid crack. Seriously.
My apologies @Big Tex. I could not help myself.
Cheers.
How is Elon “fucking up the election”? If Kamala loses, it won’t be because of Elon. Her stance on Israel aggression and the economy is far more impactful than who Elon endorses. The United Autoworkers Union impacts Kamala more than Elon.
That's good stuff bro. I commend you on working with students to expose them to the meteorology field....(ENTER TO LEARN, DEPART TO SERVE)I’m definitely at the point of trying to take advantage of many things as possible without digging myself into a hole I can’t get out of.
With all the contributions being made towards HBCUs, we should try and leverage these opportunities. I’m working on a pipeline between my university and the atmospheric science community to get more black into meteorology or related areas.
It’s a real challenges because the field is dominated by white men and inner circles. But we are making advancements. It just needs to be more interests in science among us.
Also, we need more representation in STEM education. A sad truth is that the majority of STEM courses taught on an undergraduate and graduate level at HBCUs are not Black Americans.

You are 100% correct about more representation in the STEM Field (or STEAM which some educators like to call it nowadays). I know my boy that has his PhD in education once told me the reason why alot of Phd holders don't teach at HBCUs is because of the lack of research status?? Typically when one of us starts teaching at a HBCU, we have already made some money (career wise) where we can work and sort of give back and not look for the high paycheck...One of my homies that went to SU and is now a teacher use to try and convience me to teach because I have a science background and how it was a high demand for that, but my love for healthcare/health policy just wouldn't let me deviate (plus I paid too much for my master's degree lol).
I've talked about this mutiple times on here in regards to mentoring and doing it for over a decade, I noticed a few things in that last few years. As an all volunteer org., we relied heavy on donations for our programming....Donations were much higher during certain administrations vs. others (but I won't get into that because at the end of the day mentoring our kids is the main focus). I noticed a major shift from like 2017 - 2023 where major corporations (Microsoft, SF, and smaller tech companies) started pouring in heaving resources and dollars into our programming. More of our curriculum started to lean STEM based, but we still kept the core principles aligned (health, mentoring, education empowerment, and education) . Their representatives would tell us that they 100% are looking for more minority kids coming out of college and even in high school, but alot of times just didn't know how to manueaver or engage more with the recruting process....
I say alll that to say, you always follow the dollars and that's where the careers are. CHIPS ACT should be a prime example as well. We have to always remember, "What they see is what they will Be"

I think money unfortunately. Most people that’s gets into STEM education full time are pigeon-holed into that career if they don’t get out soon enough. To get tenured (on a PhD level), research and funding is a must. That’s why they hire candidates most likely to bring in money. If master level, then they usually put them in advisement roles and teach general education courses.
But the professorship money is only good if you’re ok with living a certain type of lifestyle. I’m adjunct, so I get full checks with no benefits taken out. Nice side bread.
One things students complain a lot about is having too many foreign professors. I get it, too. But the bigger question is why are Black Americans reluctant to teach full time in STEM?
This country has no interest in paying engineers. This is why international schools have experienced a surge in are ABET accredited programs. This country has no interest in paying anyone anything.Actually, it was originally called STEAM.
The A stood for ART, which we abandoned.
Why? The arts make us think, motivate us, and is the better part of the makeup of what we are as human beings.
Corporations have no use for this. This is why they want everyone to be a math genius; it is beneficial to multinational corporations. They have essentially rendered us, as a nation, cannon fodder for industry.
This is why Canadians, the French, Germans, etc. enjoy life. We enjoy accumulating stuff, much of which we neither need nor appreciate.
No oppressor wants a creative slave. This is why fascists ALWAYS persecute the intellectuals first, the artists, the teachers, musicians, etc.
Although I taught language arts and social studies the majority of my career as a teacher, I ended my career as an art teacher.
Just sayin'.
You’re voting for Trump because of Elon and it’s his platform purposely manipulating stupid ass people with propaganda and lies causing them to vote for Trump . I’m not sure why you’re playing stupid but there’s a reason he may be investigated for election interference. 50% of twitter users are Russian pro Trump bots.@Dr. Truth
Nobody is voting for Trump because of Elon. Trump will win because of Biden’s record, the economy, Isreal, and white women not voting for Kamala.
