Warner Bros Lands Black Samurai Movie From Color Purple Director Blitz Bazawule (Yasuke, the first African samurai in Japan) Assassin's Creed Shadows

let me guess

the samurai was actually gay and beat his black wife

while stopping her from rising to fame as the creator of the first hair weave/nail designs

:cool:

As a longtime/day one/game one assassin's creed fanboy and Ubisoft fanboy from the prince of Persia and Rayman days I'm very glad it's doing well for them when they need it to succeed for their company, in also glad it's being well received and selling well to spite those who damn near rioted and came up with a bullshit campaign because they dare have a black protagonist in a game that's taken liberties with history and hasn't once stuck to actual history.

With that said it's by far my least favorite assassin's creed game and probably the first I won't even bother finishing, the gameplay and gameplay loop are boring and lifeless, I'd say the same of the world. The graphics are absolutely nice to loon at if not for the fact that the world is so dead and uninspired. The missions are boring, side missions uninteresting and the only part I really enjoy is ransacking temples for loot, but even that has gotten old quickly. Yasuke feels like an afterthought in both his story and gameplay, the world just doesn't feel made for him so when I play as him it feels more like a punishment. The story is so basic and by the numbers and it's keeping in the recent games of barely being an assassins creed game at all, except for the hidden blade this has an even less connected story to the main franchise than even Valhalla which I had way more fun with.

This one is just not for me unfortunately.
