and at that price it doesnt make sense anymore to get it. basically puffy wanted the formula for this cologne which is one of his personal favorites. this shyt was actually made for a saudi royal family member i believe & is probably one of the best summer fragrances you can get right about now

imperial-millesime-creed-perfumes.jpg

the thing is olivier creed wouldnt give him the formula so puffy did the hood thing & said, fuck that you aint gonna sell it to me well then im gonna bootleg yo shit. and it was actually very close in comparison. but the thing is that it was a limited run. when it was out it cost about 65 bucks for a 2.5 ounce bottle. the millisime imperial in a four ounce bottle is 250 so to pay 200 for a knock off doesnt make sense

thanks, do they sell this at jcpenny's, dillards, etc.? I've seen it online for 65 but i want to smell it before i buy it.

It's not that exclusive, it's on ebay at a discount.

you definitely CAN get creeds online for less than retail, but there are a couple of things to consider.

1. creed is HEAVILY bootlegged. chances are that bottle of green irish tweed

green+irish+tweed+by+creed.jpg

that you see at the perfume stand in the mall is pure boogaga. most high end companies are selective about the outlets that they put their merchandise in. there's so many grimy things they do man. one thing to protect yourself is that most every cologne made has a serial # on it. make sure the serial # on the box & the bottle match. if they don't, get your money back.

2. a lot of the discounted creed out there IS real, but then the other thing to consider is how old is it? a lot of the time creed will clear out old inventory & they'll sell it at a discount to certain retailers but the thing is, since creed uses a lot of natural oils & notes they have a tendency to have less staying power than say a designer fragrance house like versace which uses somewhat more synthetic notes but it has more longevity. so thats the trade-off with creed, yeah you get a transparent, almost pure fragrance that is unlike anything else available but the flipside is that creed is not known to have a lot of longevity, maybe 5-6 hrs. meanwhile, sport something like l'eau d'issey by issey miyake

Issey%20Miyake%20L%27Eau%20D%27Issey%20Pour%20Homme.jpg

& you'll get 12-16 hours out of it, EASY.

that shit dont work. colognes and perfumes have a shelf life for about a year. that is why if you have a lot of colognes you shouldnt buy those big bottles. usually when you see cologne at those discount places it is usually the expired stuff that comes from the department stores.

wtf

2004 when it was launched in 2007,

If you want to avoid fake creeds from ebay buy tester size 2.5 oz not the 4.2 oz. Also avoid creed sellers with so many bottles of Green irish tweed and silver mountain water because those are the most bootlegged creeds. Other creeds like Tabarome, green valley or original vetiver are rarely bootlegged.I know one way to know a fake green irish tweed is hold the bottle to light , if it's real it should be purple not black.

It's not only the creeds that are fake on ebay theres a whole bunch of jean paul gaultiers that are fake

i agree that 140 is a lot to pay. I just ordered a sample for $7. That shit will have to smell REALLY good for me to buy the whole bottle.

So is there any way to tell how old it is before i buy it? Are certain sites known for selling colognes that are fairly new?

You are right, on youtube, their number one complaint was that it doesn't last for too long.

Where you cop it from?
I copped it at the fragrance store in the mall. I've seen it only for cheaper than what I paid for it. Don't be intimidated because its not the most expensive or you've never heard of it. That works in your favor.

Just rec. my sample of Molecule from www.theperfumedcourt.com
My wife and I have to admit that scent is PRIME TIME. We both keep smelling our arm. Its also very hard to locate at a store. I suggest the sample first just in case you do not like.:dance:

I ordered the molecule based off of yalls responses and was NOT impressed...it did smell sweet at the end of the day which was way better than how it smelled on initial contact.

David Beckhams Instinct intense in the red bottle is a very nice cheap scent. Chanel's Antaeus is also anotrher sleeper that smells of sophistication.
