No disrespect to Sir Paul McCartney, but Dwayne Carter Jr. (a.k.a. Lil Wayne) clearly had the superior musical medley of the night. Backed by the Roots, the rapper performed hits including “Uproar,” “Lollipop,” “6 Foot 7 Foot,” “Mrs. Officer,” and “A Milli.” (Fun fact: Wayne first appeared on the show back in 2004, when he was featured in Destiny's Child performance of “Soldier.”)

I’m neither goo goo ga ga over either one of them. I think Kendrick is a great lyricist. The song him and Busta did together Look Over Your Shoulder and the track Poe Man’s Dreams is one of my favorite tracks by him.

But when it comes to hits and bangers Drake is that nigga… I don’t care what anyone says that light skinned nigga been dropping hits since So Far Gone mixtape.

Kendrick came out the same time as Tyler and ASAP. Those two were more of the sound I like. Like Pimpin Ken said on UGK’s last album: “Different Strokes for Different folks, Some ppl like Pepsi other folks like Coke”

The fact Drake hasn’t won a Grammy is crazy just like it’s crazy that Snoop never got one. I could’ve sworn Snoop would’ve got one for Beautiful, Drop It Like It’s Hot, or Sexual Seduction. Them shits were and still are bangers till this day.

Recently I been bumping old shit, like Mobb Deep The Infamous album. That album is in my top 10 hip hop albums. So when I hear something like GNX it just sounds soft to me, unlike Freddie Gibbs last album which is straight RAW energy. But that’s just me. I’m happy for any black man that is successful at the end of the day.

Drake should’ve stopped battling after Pusha T. Pusha murdered him, his friends, and family. It was so bad ppl felt Pusha was wrong :roflmao:

I stopped listening to Drake after that one. That when I realized Drake was doing the 50 Cent thing, where an artist battles folks he knows he can’t beat. Like when 50 tried to battle Jadakiss…..

I disagree I would argue it is more crazy he hasn't won MORE

He makes EXACTLY the music the Grammys traditionally rewards.

( I have to see who Snoop has been up against during that time before I comment)

And we also have to acknowledge that MANY of the artists of generation went out of their way to say f**k the Grammys

its VERY interesting to me how selective outrage kicks in when they WIN ONE or nominated.

Might be right. I don’t know if Drake has won any. I was told he hasn’t but I haven’t done the research to see if its true.

I know Snoop hasn’t which is wild.

I still remember ODB going off at the Grammys for not getting won for the Fantasy Remix with Mariah Carey. That was hilarious. I don’t blame him. That was literally the hottest song that year worldwide. Everyone was singing that song.
