It's cool he's finally acknowledged doing him wrong but I wonder about him giving Max his publishing.
From what I recall Max wrote multiple songs (and maybe wrote We Fly High) which he said he wasn't given credit for so if that's the case and not resolved he hasn't done right by Max yet.

Yes, it does. BTW, they didn't write "Survivor". A friend of mine did, but she had a young son and was close to being evicted, so she took the 100k and NO writing credit.

It makes total sense why you never took accountability 16 years ago. Your career was beginning to skyrocket with the success of Rude Boy and all those other Rihanna songs you wrote.. to admit to pitting two black female artists against each other would’ve been career suicide.

For context, and to understand why the distribution of accountability is important, both Polow and Ester Dean have worked with Beyonce in production and writing capacities since Keri's song dropped in 2009. Ester co-wrote countdown in 2011, and Polow co-produced "I Been On" in 2013. It's obvious she's been the public face of the diss and had to deal with the public fallout of that decision while the writing and production teams remained protected, behind the scenes, and continued to benefit. The music industry is filled with desperation and young artists being forced to take risks they're uncomfortable with in order to try and make a splash that unseats a bigger name (like Beyonce), in the hopes that it advances their career. It sucks to get caught up in that, but there's peace in owning up to your part in it because we can't be the victims when it goes wrong, knowing we would've enjoyed all the spoils if it went right.

the streets and the music don't mix and its fucked up hip hop culture. Especially considering that rap and hip hop was supposed to an alternative to the streets and violence
