I don't know if the thread is meant for debate or point/counterpoint...I thought it was for just opening up about unpopular opinions BUT if it is my response would be that its not about the cops having the right to kill its about thinking 10 steps ahead as a black man in american society..you don't get the leeway others may get its not right..its not fair but it is reality and we have to deal with it.
Now we're gonna march and riot and raise hell and Daunte Wright will still be dead and his child will grow up without his father. That was avoidable before you even get to the shooting.

You’re right, take the L and move on. It wasn’t that serious of a charge. Not to mention his girlfriend was in the carC and it was his MOM’S car!
They have him identified, they know his Mom’s license plate number and home address. He wasn’t getting away and he wasn’t going anywhere.
Running would’ve done nothing but make the charges worse, and now look.

Yes it was the officers fault for killing him. That’s already known, but we’re speaking on the actions before that.
Because when it comes to the cops, there is always a chance that the cops will still kill you even if you submit calmly to them.

We got the same issues in New Orleans. They'll even get on the I-10 and do that shit.
The further issue is that the white dogs start paying attention and take that as a reason to fuck with people.
In Europe they don't give you extra time like they do over here for breaking out of jail. The reason behind that is what would a reasonable person do if they were in jail...try to escape.

Majority of rappers/producers (the popular ones who make it) were never street dudes to begin with.. Most come from the middle class or lived in suburbs. Travis Scott for example grew up in the same burbs I grew up in Missouri City, TX which has had black middle class neighborhoods for decades. The members of Migos I believe come from the middle class. Someone in the biz told me that family is a big help to get these cats talent off the ground paying for all the studio time which ain't cheap.

I hear you, I REALLY don’t need anymore shoes. What you can do is tell yourself you’ll only buy one pair of the newest Jordan’s. And I’m only talking about the newest models, the 34, 35, 36 etc.
That way it’s only one pair of that model each year which isn’t that bad.
