c/s... people claim the SAT is "culturally biased", but asians who barely speak english ace that mofo... and how can the math portion be biased

Wrong. now in 2010 makin a living changes so rapidly that in the next 30 years we will see education, rise fall rise fall over and over, without one you are gonna be in 'feast or famine' mode forever brother
Although I do think this favors Whites, I must state facts.
Please forgive my Bluntish response.
In the case of "minorities" (hate the word) universities across the nation for decades have been eliminating certain educational aptitude measurements such as SAT test scores and GPA in order to diversify their applicant pool and broaden admission requirements.
I went to school with a bunch of dummies who had no business being there but were accepted because the school had a quota to maintain regardless of poor grades and obvious stupidity.
Please don't stone me.
I was never for affirmative action [that was 'just to give people a pass' when they didn't deserve it aka retroactive 40 acres and a mule], so i am not for this UC system change, but I agree all those who were crying blood when Clinton killed AA should be happy right
Great point, also 2nd and third generation Asians G.P.A. rates drop off, it isn't them it is America, we are ignorant, fat and lazy on a whole

Not going to go into full rhetoric on affrimative action, but you are correct. If you were considered equal as a citizen, that type of documentation isn't needed in a competitive market.

Usually by the 3rd generation of citizens are fully Americanized. The work ethic of other cultures diminishes by the time the children become adults and their children are no different than anyone else. I could see this in my stance and my little brother... Which at times I wonder if we truly have the same blood or that the 12 year difference set his circumstances in a different cultural settings...
There was a time when Asians, in particular Japanese Americans on the west coast and Chinese Americans on the east coast were down. Those Japanese Americans born around the 1930 and 1940s and their parents were forced into interment camps during WWII were pissed and joined the Black Panthers during the 1960s.

The education itself is not as important as the degree, more and more jobs list degrees as requirements for certain positions, especially the higher you go up ANY corporate, business or even civil service ladder, NOT having that degree simply serves to shut you out of a higher paying position regardless of whether you have the know-how to do the job, hell in many police departments now across the country you need a bachelor's degree to take the test.
Getting/having a degree shows employers that you have the ability to finish what you start.
How about a better lifestyle with debt incurred.

Common sense tells you that chinese fast food is not real chinese food, same as mexican fast food.

Yup, my wife is a CRNA but on her path from CNA to RN, she was a failure to her parents and she took it hard being the oldest kid. She was supposed to go to med school but she didn't like it even though her pops would have funded it and she's hella smart!
I made it worse when I supported my wife because to them I was supporting mediocrity!
my girl is Asian...half Chinese & half Korean. trust me...you do not want authentic Chinese food...it's about as bland as bland can get.
