Notice it said A Brawl Broke out.

Shout out to Chris Rock for not going full on 99 Source Awards where after the fallout they would have been saying "The Oscar would have went to" :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

A powerful and tragic insight is provided by a searing passage in his memoir, Will, published last year. In talking about his complicated relationship with his father, an Air Force veteran and alcoholic who died in 2016, Will revealed an obviously traumatizing episode of his childhood. He described how, as a 9-year-old child, he witnessed a terrible episode of domestic violence:

“I watched my father punch my mother in the side of the head so hard that she collapsed…I saw her spit blood. That moment in the bedroom, probably more than any other moment in my life, has defined who I am.”

Will Smith went on to explain:

“Within everything that I have done since then — the awards and the accolades, the spotlights and attention, the characters and the laughs — there has been a subtle string of apologies to my mother for my inaction that day. For failing her in that moment. For failing to stand up to my father. For being a coward.”

He saw his wife hurt in the moment and decided to do something about it rather than have another shoulda coulda woulda...

Of all the theories why can't this one be a possibility??

I floated this as a possibility too.

Ya'll can blame Jada all you want...Will is a grown man who made his own decision and even if he did leave her that doesn't close his issue with Chris Rock... he STILL needs to apologize to him man to man/face to face regardless.

I'm telling you...he needs to call Oprah and set it up
Did you see that 2 or 3 second clip that appeared to show Will (Oscar in hand) hugging Chris Rock and then leaning in with his hand on Chris’s shoulder listening to Chris talk as Chris wiped away tears?

Looks like the apology may already have happened that same night.
