Yea the context of it is certainly taken into account, no doubt about it, but in hearing Will speak during that acceptance speech, to me, he simply sounded like a man who was fed up of being the brunt of everyone’s jokes which is a natural human response, and IF that were the case, he should be slapping the very woman he’s defending here, not Chris.
She’s the one who created this entire mess for Will. That man is visibly broken because of her and reached a breaking point with Chris Rock’s face being the blunt end of it.
again you 100%
but like I said this is a man we have NOTHING in common with
EXCEPT
We ALL been there with a women who drives us CRAZY.
Everyone on here is PROJECTING a whole lot on these two men
but it is SO MUCH MORE COMPLICATED.
the only common denominator is this to me?
Black Men are HUMAN.
We are CONSTANLTY and CONSISITNENTLY and HISTROICALLY treated as subhuman animals
even by our own women.
Will broke.
that's it.
Trying to parse what specific moment word or joke caused it is irrelevant
That Black men finally broke under the pressure
the SLAP was WRONG PERIOD
but showing vulnerability and that WE as Black Man do have a breaking point is not.
