Facts! Nothing whatsoever! I flew to Canada on a business trip about 4 or 5 years ago. I was the only one in the group (only black person) that got pulled for additional screening. They went through ALLLLLLLLLLL my shit! They had me in there so long I thought I was guilty. BOOOOOM, they opened all my pill bottles and I had two or viagra inside my blood pressure bottle. I fucked up just under 10 yrs ago. Was coming back from a summer trip within Canada. I had forgotten and left a few items in my personal hygiene washroom pack in my carry-on: nose hair tweezers and nail clippers. Believe there may have been something else sharp that caught their eye and looked like potential use for a weapon. They took me aside and discarded a few items.
Ever since then anytime I travel I am taken aside for a “random” pat-down check when going through security and metal detectors. Clearly my name has been flagged and I pointed it out to some ppl I have vacationed with. It has happened pretty much 90% of the time since that occurred. They have done thorough screenings of my laptop too looking for whatever and drug residue. I just hope they aren’t gonna boot it up fully and ask where all the XXX and cinema is at ... shiiiiiit.

They draw that big as red X across your face, yo ass better prepare to have a seat. And for those who think he’s playing, they will ask for access to your phone or laptop. They can use the “child porn” shit to go through your laptop and phone. Typically not for bullshit, but if you have a criminal history (yes they pull that shit) or tried to enter or immigrate illegally they then can go through your laptop and phone.
And for the layperson; you can get screwed like Griner in a dozen ways. Don’t be her! You could be flying to and from two countries where weed/oil is legal. Pay attention! Direct flight, so no worries, right? But mechanical issues force you to stop over in another country—now you have a Russia situation, and you got that pipe and oil from Amsterdam in your bag.

Good point about the connecting flights.....I don't take drugs so I'll never be caught up. But if I did use drugs I would never try to carry that shit on a plane, not worth the risk imo
