If you rely in your tax return for anything at all, you're a failure regardless of who is the president. The whole tax return thing should be an afterthought, you should focus on working the system in such a manner that you pay nothing or very little in the way of taxes.

A friend of mine who prepares taxes professionally says overall the average guy got fucked over. Those deductions you can no longer use add up. People who deducted milage or cell phone cost and a host of others are paying more taxes overall. This nonsense has to be repealed at some point because of the soaring deficit not to mention its another gut punch to the staggering Middle Class.

My industry enjoys this season...cause vices like adult entertainment are def 1 of those things people splurge on... Many baller for a day, weeks, months... Fam my tax lady was scared to call me when she did the numbers. I haven't owed for taxes since I withdrew funds from my 401K years ago and have been consistently receiving larger returns with each year ever since. She said other customers were livid as well.

It doesn’t make any sense. There are equations that determine this stuff. I want to see the math, but they will never put that out there. People should be able to determine how this affects them.

It is for those that don’t know about it. It’s easy to say, “the IRS have been saying this for months” but when there are literally millions of people that don’t know to do that, then that tells me the information was not as clear or as available as it should have been.
As an educator, I do not work on assumptions in this manner.
I get it. There is a responsibility to the individual to seek this information. But there is a problem if millions of people do not know. That’s an issue.
