The Divine episode>>>>>>>>

Damn it

I wonder if the Clan watches that now and realize just how impossible a mission it was to keep all those brothers focused

Without that brother imagine what would have happened. Wish he had more experience and guidance early on.

Divine doesn't get enough credit.

Hip hop community really disappointed me by not supporting this series more

This is EXACTLY the content all these hip hop talking heads SWEAR they want.

But where was the articles social media reports blogs podcasts reaction video and tweets?

This series was incredible

And really deserved another season to fully tell the story... but I'm happy they got to conclude it properly

This cast was amazing the writing directing etc top notch

(Happy he finally FOUND Rza proper vocal infections by the final season)

Salute to the RZA and all of Wu Tang.

That's all I was thinking!!!

Respect to the Chef for signing off

Cause it was a great reenactment from the documentary

Man, word up! Just kept thinking how they really got this shit down to the letter. Vine is better than me because these cats was buggin. They really could’ve taken over if they had they shit together when that second Wu album dropped.

And I don't think anyone can complain

Considering it was cut short prematurely

EACH MEMBER had a COMPLETE STORY.

and I hope after watching this these grown men really appreciate how much Divine put in to make this dream a reality.

It was actually so fair to EVERYONE.

Rae and Ghost initial beef, how the women of the clan were effected, the shady industry, learning the business, wu wear, Power, jealousy, money, how the music was created, Shaolin as an actual character, the horrible cameos , the clothes, the soundtrack...

They left nothing on the table but yet and still had so much MORE to say.

Salute to ALL THE ACTORS!!!!

What was up with so little Method?

Seems like Dave East schedule was full.

He was NOT on that stage for the end of the show.

I think that is maybe what I could have used more of....

Method Man journey

The Hot 97 beef

When Wu Tang was on like every r&b remix

The videos...

When they finally went overseas and saw how Asian countries loved them.

It aired on HULU that's why. I can just imagine the reach it would have had Netfix picked it up instead.

Meth was there. He showed up late with the mask on.

Remember, he blew up quick so he was touring a lot. He mentioned he was busy with Red.

Ghost left a voice-mail for Rza saying him and Rae was with Jodeci doing a remix.

It was too much stuff to touch on.

I know all that but I don't think that was actually Dave East on stage I could be wrong

They needed and deserved at least a few more episodes.

Season 3
Episodes 8 - 10

Episode 8 was pretty interesting. I was kind of lost being they took the “Liquid Swords” album and re-interpreted for the episode. It’s been awhile since I listened to the album in whole. I will need to re-listen to it and rewatch the episode immediately after to fully enjoy it.

GZA at Sam Ash conversing with that musician was an eye opener to him. To be a true musician you need to be able to read music and play some instruments, not just hit buttons on a soundboard and rip samples from old albums. It was funny seeing him try to explain bringing in classical music to what they were doing to everybody.

I was always under the impression that every decision the group made was a joint decision. This series showed that Devine and RZA was making every decision and move with no input from the others which clearly shows why they somewhat broke apart and have not done anything together since the early 2000s.

One thing I noticed thru-out the series was it did a good job showing how much White folks are in control of the music business overall. Routinely thru the series you saw RZA and Devine having to stoop low in order to get deals and negotiate terms. Even with the negotiations with Dirty with the black executive, it was clear that he was not really in control and had to answer to higher folks who were white.

It became more clear with that in that last episode with them touring with Rage Against The Machine. The White Dude and White Chick was calling the shots. The White Chick later talked to RZA and got into his head too easy which explains why he is doing what he has been up to over the past 20 years.

I assumed the last episode would go in-depth with Deck’s classic verse on “Triumph”. I was disappointed with the episode not giving full acknowledgement to it with that small scene with him and RZA.

Overall it was a good series. Some of the casting could have been better and having the actors perform the music instead of them lip syncing brought down some of the scenes.
