Can’t front, Pence speaks much better than Trump. He provides good detailed information and at least gives you hope.

Trump makes you feel like the world is going to end

Do you even watch?

He's been downplaying the shit the whole time.

He's been optimistic and has been making it look like it's not a big deal. The fool acted like everything will go back to normal by Easter.

Just the other day he said more people die from car accidents, and we don't tell people to stop.

Then he said today that it will probably only be a few bad places like New York, Louisiana and California, but life will be fine for the rest of us.

He's been overly optimistic to try to make sure the economy and stock market don't plummet and try to encourage them.

Some upscale malls and "specialty" restaurants like cheesecake factory can actually do this and get away with it just because you can't really quickly repurpose their space into anything else profitable so its better to just work something out with them. NYC, LA etc. are about to become even more bland now though because you can quickly turn a lot of those "generic" store fronts that are currently small shops/bars/restaurants into ATMs and large chain locations pretty easily. If you have been to NYC recently , think about the LES now versus even 10-15 years ago. Every interesting bar or restaurant has been closed and turned into a fucking ATM or subway/Dunkin Donuts :smh:

If we are on lock down they can't repurpose them to anything until the shelter in place orders are lifted.

13 Deaths in a Day: An ‘Apocalyptic’ Coronavirus Surge at an N.Y.C. Hospital

Hospitals in the city are facing the kind of harrowing increases in cases that overwhelmed health care systems in China and Italy.

"All of the more than 1,800 intensive care beds in the city are expected to be full by Friday, according to a Federal Emergency Management Agency briefing obtained by The New York Times. Patients could stay for weeks, limiting space for newly sickened people."

In several hours on Tuesday, Dr. Ashley Bray performed chest compressions at Elmhurst Hospital Center on a woman in her 80s, a man in his 60s and a 38-year-old who reminded the doctor of her fiancé. All had tested positive for the coronavirus and had gone into cardiac arrest. All eventually died.

Elmhurst, a 545-bed public hospital in Queens, has begun transferring patients not suffering from coronavirus to other hospitals as it moves toward becoming dedicated entirely to the outbreak. Doctors and nurses have struggled to make do with a few dozen ventilators. Calls over a loudspeaker of “Team 700,” the code for when a patient is on the verge of death, come several times a shift. Some have died inside the emergency room while waiting for a bed.

A refrigerated truck has been stationed outside to hold the bodies of the dead. Over the past 24 hours, New York City’s public hospital system said in a statement, 13 people at Elmhurst had died.

“It’s apocalyptic,” said Dr. Bray, 27, a general medicine resident at the hospital.

Across the city, which has become the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in the United States, hospitals are beginning to confront the kind of harrowing surge in cases that has overwhelmed health care systems in China, Italy and other countries. On Wednesday evening, New York City reported 20,011 confirmed cases and 280 deaths.

UV light has been used to effectively kill bacteria in water. I'm not sure how it will affect the virus, but summer will most likely help control it. But then it's going to come back in the winter again with a vengeance.
edit to what I said earlier.... Joseph Fair, PHD on Last Word said that UV light from the sun inactivates the virus... so you see a lot less illness in the summer.... you still get them, but far less....

Look at the infection rates! NYC is higher than Wuhan and Rikers is damn near 7x worse than the rest of the city. This shit is wrecking the city so I can only imagine what is going to happen in the rest of the country...
