Two outliers of this virus that inarguably skews the statistics. 1) the sheer high mortality rate of seniors and 2) the infathomable zero deaths of small children.

In other words, for example, if you have 50% of one thing and 0% of another thing, then that averages out to 25%, which does not provide an accurate statistic by no stretch of the imagination.

One thing is for certain though (at least according to the what’s being reported), it’s killing old folks at a high rate. And because there is no vaccine yet, we can’t really correlate the numbers to what the flu does.

If what is reporting is true about the nursing home in Washington, then we can’t really say those folks would have suffered a similar fate if they would have caught a cold or the flu. That’s not something you can actively experiment with (or morally do, lol).

I can’t say this is blown out of proportion, but if it’s a new type of Coronavirus as being reported and is killing older people at a high rate, then certain steps have to be took.

I’m not going to down play it nor am I going to lose my shit (my mind) over it either.

I agree with everything you stated and it all makes sense. My issue not about down stating the virus. Its about the government not divulging all info to help people understand exactly what the virus does and who it affects. The virus has been out correct? So why now all of a sudden it's what it is?
