Like,me and others been saying, you have too many people in this country not taking this seriously. They think this is a game and shit.

The fucked up part the virus haven't peaked in this country yet. I can't imagine, how many people will get it and die when it does.

Shit is wild. I have been working from home for weeks now and have had the family on lockdown :smh: It is insane to see people literally risk their own lives in order to not be mildly inconvenienced...

yeah I was looking to get a game system GS basically selling used systems for $20 less than a brand new PS4 :hmm:

They had a conference call amongst store managers who were concerned and someone asked if they were still doing trades for used items...dude was like yeah, you can get it anywhere

They don't even have wipes for them to clean the stores, they were like you can buy them on your own.

But all of corporate are working from home

What's even worst, you have businesses going against the lockdown mandate or not allowing employees to take off work,so they can get away from people...Shit is ridiculous...

shit is plain evil. I am a "professional" but I have plenty of family who aren't and I'm hearing wild shit from them. We honestly need to get a little fund set up on here and let everyone contribute a dollar or two because I know we have people on here who will be hurting soon if they are not already. I have already had to send a couple of Instacart/postmates orders to some relatives of mine who I know needed it but would never ask directly...

US cases are currently 19,352, with 250 deaths. That's a 1.3% (Global is 4.1%) mortality rate.

The state of Washington has 83 deaths and 1,524 cases with most coming from the nursing home.

If you remove Washington as the outlier, then the mortality rate decreases to 0.9%.

So far 147 have recovered from the confirmed cases in the US.

New York has over 8400 cases, but they are doing the most test as well.

Globally there are 274,707 cases with 11,387 deaths. That's a 4.1% mortality rate.

Italy is the outlier with 47,021 cases and 4,032 deaths. That's an 8.6% mortality rate.

Removing Italy from the stats and we have 227,686 cases with 7,355 deaths. That's a 3.2% mortality rate.

China's mortality rate is 3.9%.
Iran is 7.3%.
Spain is 5.1%.
France is 3.6%.

Statically, Italy is a huge outlier, and we should not judge this outbreak based on what they are dealing with.

However, if the data holds for hypertension and blood-pressure have the most significant effect on that country's mortality rate. Cali and NY are going to be exceptions, and the South could quickly become the epicenter. Lousiana, Georgia, and Florida already have a mortality rate of over 2%.

That we know of. Tests aren't abundant enough. We've probably had people die who had the virus and a different cause of death listed. The only way we will know is if there were samples taken to test later.

Those are also the same states with a high % of uninsured with chronic illness. Italy has shown that obesity and smoking are huge risk factors as well. :smh: I can tell you are a numbers nerd like me so look at the number of hospital beds per 1k for Japan and Korea compared with Italy. We have fewer than Italy...

This is the breakdown by state. This is going to decimate Us if we don't act now and get people to stay the fuck home...

We weren't prepared to have 330 million people in this country. We are showing our shortcomings.

I was talking to a buddy of mine about this same thing. We really don't know.

We also don't know about those that had it and recovered as well. Both deaths and numbers of cases can't truly be accounted for.

Yeah and with it being winter many people had colds. I had a runny nose a couple of weeks ago but sweated it out overnight. I just assumed it was mucous build-up. Then I knew of people who had colds since late January so there is no way of telling if it was just a common cold, pneumonia, or the corvid virus that had the symptoms of a cold.

This virus could have been here are in the U.S. as early as December. Because it has similarities to the flu, many people probably thought nothing more of it and just went about it normally.

Our first confirmation wasn't until Jan. 22 and only 4 cases were confirmed between Feb. 3 to Feb. 21.

The stats are already completely screwed for all accounts of the number of cases, deaths, and recoveries.

Here is 2018-2019 data for the flu.

Conclusion
CDC estimates that influenza was associated with more than 35.5 million illnesses, more than 16.5 million medical visits, 490,600 hospitalizations, and 34,200 deaths during the 2018–2019 influenza season. This burden was similar to the estimated burden during the 2012–2013 influenza season1.

It took the Ohio Department of Health to shut that shit down on Tuesday. And,then you have certain members in the Democratic Party trying to shit on Mike Dewine just because the election got postponed...

People say they care but they really don't unless green is involve.

Fam, something about this is very interesting. Again, more data from 2018-2019.

I can't put my finger on it yet, but these stats are worth looking into further.

:smh:

I would love to see pneumonia stats for late 2019 early 2020 especially from red states. I have a feeling we are basically Russia especially in our trump supporting states
