Don't forget that there is anecdotal evidence out of Italy showing that obesity is a huge factor as well... :smh: :smh: :smh:

I posted a video of people getting treated in a hospital there, the majority of them were overweight and all cacs.

My gripe with the whole coverage of this that they're really not fully breaking down the numbers. It's just general stuff they say like older people or people with existing health conditions are more at risk.

I want to know every thing from race, gender, specific health conditions that attributed to risk, weight, blood type etc..

When black folks were getting HIV at an alarming rate, they shoved every single data they had down our throats, I just don't feel like they're giving us the whole story with this so far.

They've lost their minds.... cac ho

I've posted on BGOL about how FUCKED UP Lake Worth Beach, Florida was just a few weeks ago
TO QUOTE MYSELF: I also note that the town is only 38.1% non Hispanic Caucasian, yet EVERY elected official besides Omari looks to be whiter than white... :hypnotised:

Omari Hardy admits growing up with "two moms" and anyone listening to him speak on Youtube can clearly see "dat boy gay as fuck!" :dunno:

But I'm more concerned that Lake Worth Beach's Wiki page makes it sound like a hell hole! 21.3% of the buildings are vacant, 32.3% of the population is below the poverty line, among the highest crime rates and highest opiod death rates in the state, etc. Hell, they disbanded the police dept because crime got so high! Changing the name of the city last year is not going to change those sad facts....

Despite the good info that has been posted by everyone in this thread, can the people who don't know what they're talking about stop pretending like they do? People in here believe you because they don't know any better.

Anyway, it's very possible for the death situation in the US to get worse than the situation in Italy. The three most common comorbidities for people who died of COVID19 in Italy have been hypertension, then diabetes and then schemic heart disease. The rate for people with hypertension in the US is about the same as Italy, which is about 30% of the population. Diabetes is 9.6% in the US vs 5.4% in Italy. This is not to say that if you have hypertension or diabetes you're going to die from COVID19. This is to say that if you're unhealthy the chances of you dying are exponentially higher. Add the high hospitalization and treatments costs and the fact that there will eventually be a shortage of hospital beds when the numbers of critically infected people increase, and you have a recipe for disaster. It also doesn't help that the US is #1 in the world right now for daily infection rate.

The US should step up its quarantine rules and implement a testing program to keep this under control. We really need someone other than Trump to be President right now.

My take on this so far is that Americans have notoriously short attention spans.
Add to this a fairly large independent streak and you have the recipe for this "situation" not to last more than a few more weeks.
Once cabin fever sets in and people grow tired of no restaurants, bars, sports, shopping, etc. you will start to see the beginning of the end.

As of now, the politicians aren't feeling the heat that much.
In a few weeks calls and emails will start overwhelming the offices of politicians all over the country with the general theme of "enough....we have to get back to work".
Once that happens watch these politicians start singing a new tune.
After that we'll begin to ease back into normalcy.

There’s no coming back from this....the Market dropped 10,000 points in a few weeks trust me people will not forget about that and it’s an election year to.

There's a message I got on WhatsApp from my friend saying that if you catch the disease, taking Advil makes it 10x worse. This was stated by a nurse who is in the hosp caring for patients who were previously healthy, got the virus and got worse.

That's good to know. I had picked up some ibuprofen which I normally don't buy because it's normally used to reduce fevers.

Was said to use Tylenol instead, forgot to mention that in the post. Use that for the time being.

But also if one gets a fever, use a washcloth, run under cold water, and place it at lymph node areas. Neck, under arms, behind knees and groin. Keep cooling down the cloth and should help subside the fever.

There's a debate on if one should use one or two washrags but that another story.

Thanks I picked up some Tylenol also. I don't usually use ibuprofen, even though it works better for the pain, because it causes other issues for me.

In holistic medicine fever is seen as a cure tho, since it fights off infection. Normally herbs are given to increase sweating so it breaks on its own. I only bought it because I had read this virus acts differently and some of the damage is done because the immune system goes over board.

Yes any ibuprofen causes this virus to go more haywire on your body

The good news is we're finally conducting more tests.

The bad news is that we are likely going to overtake all other countries in confirmed cases before too long. The growth rate is just too high.

Ran to Home Depot for some supplies, pepper and tomato plants, we're putting in a little "self sustainable" garden. Place was full.

Walmart is next door to Home Depot, ran in for charcoal and dog food, and again, place was full of people.

I didnt expect to see so many people out, with their kids and all.

Every time I got to the car, I doused myself in hand sanitizer.

Doesn't sound like people are really taking it serious. They need to do a "stay at home" order in FL.

Italy sees biggest daily increase in coronavirus deaths
The death toll from an outbreak of coronavirus in Italy rose by 793 to 4,825 on Saturday, officials said.
It is the largest daily rise in absolute terms since the contagion emerged a month ago.
On Thursday, Italy overtook China as the country to register most deaths from the highly contagious virus.
The total number of cases in Italy rose to 53,578 from a previous 47,021, an increase of 13.9%, the Civil Protection Agency said.
The hardest-hit northern region of Lombardy remains in a critical situation, with 3,095 deaths and 25,515 cases.
Of those originally infected nationwide, 6,072 had fully recovered on Saturday compared to 5,129 the day before.
There were 2,857 people in intensive care against a previous 2,655.

Same here in Greensboro. I went to Lowes yesterday because I needed supplies for my lawnmower, weed eater, and other stuff.

Lowes was very busy.
