This means Jamie will get killed off...fine with me.

Just read that this pertains to Kevin Costner's character...they can still kill Jamie off as well..

Also under the Taylor Sheridan universe, there’s the series Bass Reeves currently shooting, starring David Oyelowo as the titular character, the first Black deputy U.S. marshal. That is set around the time of 1883, and there is also a potential separate contemporary franchise extension with 6666. That one is set on the Four Sixes Ranch in Texas, where Yellowstone viewers will have seen Jefferson White’s ranch hand Jimmy Hurdstrom learn to be a real cowboy, and falling in love in season four. Sheridan also has the freestanding contemporary series Tulsa King with Sylvester Stallone going into a second season, and Mayor of Kingstown with Jeremy Renner, in its second season. Finally, there is Lioness, the contemporary espionage that has Zoe Saldana, Nicole Kidman and Morgan Freeman leading the ensemble cast. That show has wraps its first season early this week. Land Man, starring Billy Bob Thornton, begins production in May.

Looking forward to seeing this..

Ending Yellowstone at its height would not be bad.

5 seasons is a good run and there is plenty of spin-off potential.

Matthew McConaughy coming in is a good addition to the franchise.

Taylor has all these damn shows. I have no idea when I’m going to get to see them.

Maybe I need join the “7 Million Men” who decided to not work and just sit home all day watching TV.

HaHa!!!

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office has dismissed all charges against Yellowstone and The Alienist actress Q’orianka Kilcher, who had been accused of workers compensation fraud last year.
“Today, I am beyond grateful that my case has been dismissed – tomorrow my journey begins to help raise awareness and demand more transparency for worker’s rights within the workers comp system,” she said in a statement.

The case stemmed from Kilcher working on the Kevin Costner drama series Yellowstone while she had been collecting temporary disability insurance benefits. Her attorneys at Brown Rudnick LLP said today that Kilcher had suffered “a serious and life-altering traumatic injury she endured while filming Dora and the Lost City of Gold” but added that she “is hoping to use this moment to shed light on the experiences of other workers who have been injured in the workplace.”

After thanking her lawyers, Kilcher added: “I want to thank my family, friends, fans and fellow industry peers whose support has kept me going. I look forward to shedding more light on this experience and continuing to do the work I love.”
Said her lawyers Camille Vasquez and Stephen Cook in a statement: “The decision is a true victory, and while we are gratified that Ms. Kilcher’s innocence has been vindicated, the truth is that the California Department of Insurance should never have brought this case, and Ms. Kilcher should never have been subjected to this ordeal.”
Along with her recurring role as Angela Blue Thunder on Yellowstone, Kilcher’s recent credits include TNT drama The Alienist and the features Dog and Hostiles. She also received a number of nominations from critics groups for her breakout role in 2005’s The New World.

‘Yellowstone’ To End, Sequel Greenlit At Paramount With Matthew McConaughey Still In Talks To Star

Peter White And Nellie Andreeva
May 5, 2023 6:00AM PDT

Remember what we told you in February that Yellowstone would be ending with its fifth season and Paramount was plotting a follow-up series from Taylor Sheridan?

Well, that’s been confirmed. Paramount has announced that the Kevin Costner-fronted Yellowstone will wrap its run with the upcoming second half of Season 5, which is set to premiere in November. It will be followed by an untitled sequel, from 101 Studios and MTV Entertainment Studios, which has received a straight-to-series order for a December debut.

No talent has been announced for the new series but, as Deadline exclusively reported in February, Matthew McConaughey had been in talks for the project. We hear the Oscar winner remains in negotiations to star. He is expected to be joined by handful of original Yellowstone cast members.

The sequel, which will be the first offshoot in the Yellowstone universe to carry the mothership series’ moniker, will run on Paramount Network, the home of Yellowstone, and then on Paramount+.

The latter is key as the mothership series, whose original run also is on Paramount Network, streams exclusively on Peacock, in what has been a sore subject for Paramount.

The announcement comes on the heels of Paramount Global falling way shy of Wall Street forecasts yesterday when the company reported a loss of $1.1 billion for Q1, leading to a 25% stock price drop.

The end of Yellowstone, co-created by Sheridan, who serves as showrunner, follows much back and forth between Costner and Sheridan arguing over dates to shoot. According to sources, it isn’t clear whether Costner will be back for the final episodes, which we hear are slated to start production in August.

Also unclear is whether all remaining Yellowstone scripts have been completed and whether Sheridan has written scripts for the sequel series. Given that there is currently a writers strike going on, the premiere dates may be subject to change.

Director and exec producer Stephen Kay told Deadline recently, “Taylor [Sheridan] is in Texas spinning hay into gold and we’re hoping we’re hoping we’ll do it soon. Everybody’s excited.”

It has not been revealed whether the McConaughey-fronted franchise extension will be set on the Dutton ranch in Montana or elsewhere and which of the original stars of Yellowstone will appear in the spinoff series, but we hear a couple of them have received offers. The plan for the returning cast members may not get finalized until Sheridan finishes writing, we hear.

Alongside Costner, who plays John Dutton, Yellowstone stars the likes of Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille and Gil Birmingham

Costner’s John Dutton character has weathered hitmen, as seen at the end of season three when the whole family was attacked, and unscrupulous real estate developers attempting to wrest control of the sprawling Montana-based Dutton Ranch away from him. At the end of the first part of Season 5, he’s now dealing with his children trying to kill each other.

“Yellowstone has been the cornerstone on which we have launched an entire universe of global hits – from 1883 to Tulsa King, and I am confident our Yellowstone sequel will be another big hit, thanks to the brilliant creative mind of Taylor Sheridan and our incredible casts who bring these shows to life,” said Chris McCarthy, President & CEO Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios.

The original series, which was co-created by Sheridan and John Linson, is produced by 101 Studios and MTV Entertainment Studios and is exec produced by Sheridan, Linson, Costner, Art Linson, David C. Glasser, Bob Yari, Christina Voros and Stephen Kay.

“The Dutton story continues, picking up where Yellowstone leaves off in another epic tale. We are thrilled to bring this new journey to audiences around the world,” added David Glasser, CEO, 101 Studios.

The sun is setting on Yellowstone — but a new sequel series will take its place.
Kevin Costner's beloved Western drama will end when the final episodes of season 5 premiere in November, Paramount Network announced Friday.
While the back half of its fifth season will be the last for Costner in co-creator Taylor Sheridan's epic saga, the currently untitled sequel will premiere in December on the network, followed by a streaming rollout on Paramount+.
The cast for the Yellowstone sequel project will be revealed in the near future.

Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, the first portion of Yellowstone's final season — also starring Kelly Reilly and Wes Bentley — had 17 million viewers following its November 13, 2022 premiere.

"Yellowstone has been the cornerstone on which we have launched an entire universe of global hits, from 1883 to Tulsa King, and I am confident our Yellowstone sequel will be another big hit, thanks to the brilliant creative mind of Taylor Sheridan and our incredible casts who bring these shows to life," said the studio's president and CEO, Chris McCarthy, in a statement, referencing the multiple universe–expanding series in the Yellowstone saga, which also includes Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren's 1923.
Yellowstone began in 2018 and followed the Dutton family, led by John Dutton (Costner), as he navigates control of the biggest cattle ranch in the country through tumultuous alliances, murder, and conflict with many seeking to unseat him from his throne of power.
Ahead of the final episodes of Yellowstone, the full season of limited series 1883, which premiered on Paramount+ in December 2021, will air on Paramount Network beginning Sunday, June 18 at 8 p.m. ET/P

Kevin Costner Estranged Wife Wants $248k a Month in Child Support

Kevin Costner's estranged wife wants him to fork over nearly a quarter of million dollars a month to care for their kids ... but Kevin makes it clear from his legal docs, he thinks his estranged wife's ask is highway robbery.

Christine Baumgartner filed new legal docs in which she asks a judge to force KC to shell out $248,000/month in child support for their three kids. She claims that an eye-popping amount is the only way Christine and the children can "live at a standard somewhat approaching the standard that the children will be enjoying while in Kevin's care." BTW, she says that doesn't include private school tuition, health care and sports-related expenses, which she also wants him to pay.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ, Kevin is already paying 100% of the kids' expenses. In addition to the expenses, Costner has filed legal docs saying he's willing to kick in an additional $38k per month.

Christine says Kevin's enormous wealth is more than enough to cover her ask ... claiming Kevin's total income last year was $19.5 million. Their family expenses, she claims, were $6.6 million. Kevin clearly thinks the money has nothing to do with child support.

BTW, it sounds like they live large ... CC lists regular trips to places like Hawaii, Aspen and the Caribbean -- where she says they often hire caterers and chefs to entertain their guests.

The upkeep of their many properties ain't cheap either ... about $2 mil/year ... says Christine.

As we've reported ... this divorce is getting uglier by the week. Recently, Kevin filed court docs of his own in which he claimed Christine refused to move out of one of his properties ... despite clear terms in their prenup that he insists required her to move out by a certain date after she filed for divorce.

She says she can't afford to move. He claims she has $1.45 mil in her bank account so she's more than able to rent a pad.

Never would’ve guessed Kevin had $142 million house. You never really know how much some people are really worth.

Agreed. It’s amazing some of those career earnings stars pull in. Costner’s mostly known for his 80s and 90s movies too.

And of course Yellowstone has paid well these past 5+ years.
