As this case goes on - actually, it seems like it's kinda stalled - a few thoughts:
1. Seeing Julio's face makes me think he got left back at least two grades. Also, he looked like an annoying guy that you just want slap some sense into (but you won't, because, well, he would try to kill you. Duh.)
2. Did anyone of these young people think that they would actually get away with killing him? Did any of them think about the consequences of getting caught? The 18 year old looks like he doesn't realize that he'll never see the outside of a prison cell, he's going to jail for life - and if he gets the death penalty, his life will be even shorter! And he gets pulled over for a traffic stop riding dirty with weed and guns in the car which was in his mother's name - including guns that had been used in other shootings! And he used his mother's car during the shooting! One of the guys bobbing his head to music during a court hearing . The girl coming out of her house barefoot in the pouring rain during her arrest...WTF? And one guy barricaded himself in his apartment, talking about offing himself, only to "negotiate" into surrendering. Makes no damn sense. All of them looked liked they didn't give a fuck, or that they were all more than a little bit slow...or both.
3. The girl is pregnant by one of the guys involved in the murder - and she's snitching on him and the other guys, hoping to get off, or to get a lighter sentence. Does she realize that if she gets off, or gets a lighter sentence, she might be raising a child of the man she snitched on? Mind you, she snitched after she was caught in a few lies about her involvement in the whole thing. WTF was she thinking? Was she thinking at all?
4. Why are they still in this gang shit? Do they realize that they're being played? DeSantis is trying to look tough on crime at their expense. He doesn't give a single fuck about Foolio, or them. And they ended up killing a guy, who didn't give a fuck about them, over some stupid gang bravado bullshit.
The whole situation is so damn sad.
