I'm 50\50 on that feeling so I feel you.
On one end it's good to watch if the shown a good and you're on a roll.
On the other end. If the show only comes out every year or a couple of years, you're blowing your load in one sitting so I feel you.
Shitty background on your phone shows are like a package of cookies, go ahead eat a row (season) a day, quick pleasure you can mindlessly consume.
But well written shows with great production are like restaurants providing mental nourishment, some have 3-5 good dishes(episodes) others have Michelin star level episodes that are worth waiting for.
I want to savor those meals (episodes) not eat them all at once and be too full to notice the details.

I hear you and I've been trying to have a detailed debate on WHY some shows are considered Binge able and others not.
At first I thought it was episode length and theme and format.
I'm not so sure.

But in my mind for some reason completely binge worthy. I couldn't turn them off I think I watched 2 episodes a night maybe more? And then immediately did deep Google dives on each one.

but I don't THINK I would have enjoyed them as much as a weekly release. I have no idea WHY though.

But I f*cking hate when an app or service on my TV or phone starts messing up.

What I think most are missing though is we KNOW way too much about ALL these so called celebrities now
so it makes it impossible to Just appreciate their music

I still listen to R Kelly because we all knew who he was for damn near 30 years. The video tapes and lawsuits came out over 20 years ago. We knew who he was and what he did and we still listened.
No we didn't have all of the details that the documentary had but we knew who he was.
Now with Kanye, he's a dumbass that's said too much dumb shit that I just don't rock with so I can't and don't listen to him.

Piece of advice, that motto starts with the self. No one can reach me for certain periods of the day because I don't have my phone on me.
Heck sometimes I don't even know where it's at for hours at a time. Usually after I get in from work, empty my pockets, toss my phone somewhere, and completely forget about it for a few hours.
And the streaming services just made things worst. Now they have endlessly suggestions to autoplay and keep you hooked into the Matrix.
I'm down to just watching a handful of shows each year. All I watched so far this year is Shogun & Avatar.
I try to not turn the TV without a specific purpose. If I don't already know what I want to watch, there's no reason to reach for the remote. I hate watching people getting caught in the endless scroll.
