LOL, it aint just the accent, his face has a certain expression when he uses that accent it is like you can see he is forcing his mouth to make that accent. That shit is the worst.

I also thought the young man's accent was a bit over the top but I also attributed it to him trying to keep the character consistent with 50 Cent's adult version and attempting to be dramatic.
But when you see him sharing scenes with Lou-Lou, played by Malcolm Mays, who is a Los Angeles native, doing a pretty workable NY-accent, it feels almost campy and very tubi-like.
