UFO SIGHTINGS DAILY INCREASING: COULD DATA SIGNAL BIG EVENT?
DECEMBER 12, 2016
Bill Turner

UFO sightings daily are common data that UFO researchers sift through to find cases in need of follow up. If the last month was an indicator of how much work will be required to keep up, according to UFO Stalker, a reference for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), UFO researchers will be sifting through 31 percent more sightings for that time span, including a 43 percent uptick in the last week alone. The National UFO Reporting Center has not updated its numbers to account for the weekend’s reports, but it too is reporting an uptick in November UFO sightings, though not as significant as MUFON’s numbers.

UFO sightings daily function as a data set, in the same way a seismograph provides a primary data set for scientists who study earthquakes and volcanos. Not all seismic readings indicate earthquakes. A few years ago, Seattle Seahawks football fans triggered a seismic reading by cheering during a game. In the same way, UFO sightings data could indicate more mundane occurrences, and most of the time do.

What are some of the mundane reasons that UFO sightings could be increasing?

The first, and most obvious, reason for an increase in sightings is that during this time of the year more traffic is in the sky. Business people are rushing to finish end of year business. Families are going home for the holidays. More air traffic inevitably means more opportunities for UFO sightings.

Another great reason applies to those who are responsible for reporting UFO sightings. If one is to honestly assess the data, one must factor in reporting error. That does not necessarily mean that every report is someone’s uncle having a bit too much of the adult punch at the family get together, but it does mean that those uncles do figure into the raw data. And even if most people reporting did not have a little too much to drink, it is extremely difficult to properly identify aircraft or UFOs from the ground. Mistakes are common and understandable.

Slight-changes-in-light-and-perspective-can-lead-to-a-UFO-sighting-670x447.jpg

Slight changes in light and perspective can lead to a UFO sighting

Other potential mundane reasons for UFO sightings deal with weather, available light in the Winter in the Northern Hemisphere, which could increase sightings in more dark hours, and there are always those for whom pareidolia is an abnormally common operating function. That is, some people would see what they believe are UFOs in almost any odd shape in the sky. Whether or not any of the recent UFO sightings can be called factual will largely depend on the reliability of the data set.

Why should UFO researchers pay attention to the growth in sightings data, if most sightings are mundane?

If one thinks of UFO research in a similar way to gold prospecting, UFO sightings would represent something similar to sparkles in gold miners’ pans. Not every sparkle represents gold, but if the miner overlooks one, he could be throwing away a find. With UFO research, fishy claims, scientifically impossible scenarios, and mundane mistakes are the same type of data as that data skewed by humans that seismology experts sift through. By overlooking one key piece of data, the whole picture could become skewed.

But this data set is not a stand-alone set of observations. This is the second time in 2016 that there has been an upswing in the number of UFO sightings daily. The first spike was noted by the Mirror, at the beginning of Summer on June 20. At that time, sky watchers were worried about the uptick. Some spikes in sightings have been related to significant events, such as the Phoenix Lights event in 1997.

Not-every-boom-in-the-sky-is-so-easily-explained-670x525.jpg

Not every boom in the sky is easily explained

What are common sense conclusions that can be drawn from this new UFO sightings data?

The mundane common sense conclusion is that this is the time of year for an uptick in UFO sightings daily. Among all of the reasons for worry, this is not one of them. This could just be a standard uptick in sightings that will drop again once the days become longer and the nights shorten. As for the uncles, they’ll be fine again after the new year, until St. Patrick’s Day.

A more ominous conclusion, and still common sense if UFOs inform one’s view of the universe, is that the uptick could represent a far greater event over the near horizon. It will take some time to process the information contained in these UFO sighting reports before any hard conclusions can be drawn. If the numbers keep rising, time may not be a luxury at the disposal of researchers. For now, all that can be done is to monitor the skies for further activity, and work quickly to identify any possible trends.

US Air Force ‘secretly testing alien crafts’ at base, UFO hunters sensationally claim

By JON AUSTIN
PUBLISHED: 18:13, Sun, Dec 11, 2016UPDATED: 18:42, Sun, Dec 11, 2016

The strange lights over Nellis Air Base in a still from the video

UFO hunters have sensationally claimed alien technology is being tested over a US Air Force base.

UFO hunter Steven Barone, who regularly monitors the Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, uploaded the footage to YouTube to make the extraordinary claims.

He claims the footage shows alien UFOs above the restricted air base at night.

Mr Barone says it was only obtained because he used specialist night vision recording equipment.

In a promotional blurb for the video, he wrote: “I shot this video from my backyard in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas, Nevada, on the night of November 15, 2016.

UFO-Nellis-752383.jpg
The UFOs were static and then moved around in the video

“I am not enhancing it in any way so this is exactly as it was as it came from the night vision camera.”

He claims to regularly see and record UFOs over the Las Vegas Valley, which he believes come from the test and training range of the air base and nearby top-secret Area 51 in Nevada.

Scott C Waring, editor of ufosightingsdaily.com, said: “These objects are flying over a USAF base in that area so no one can travel over there to take a look. It is all fenced in high security area.”

He went one step further and claimed they were testing technology recovery from actual alien visitors to Earth - something that has ben withheld from the public.

Area 51 has been at the centre of alien conspiracies due to it's top secret research, we look at other facts about Area 51

153117.jpg

Conspiracy theorists believed remains of UFO spacecrafts were stored at Area 51, and that government scientists were researching the remains to engineer the aliens technology

He added: “It looks like the USAF is testing some of the alien craft that was given to the USAF in good faith.”

Mr Waring is known for his great speculation on UFO video and pictures, without having any apparent evidence to back up his wild claims.

A long-standing alien conspiracy theory claims that a species of aliens knows as the “Tall Whites” are actually based inside Nellis Air Force Base where they help the USAF develop their technologies in exchange for mineral resources they require on their planet.

There is no known evidence to support this theory other than it being repeated on various conspiracy theory websites.

Express.co.uk has contacted the US Air Force at the base for comment.

Shock claims massive ancient civilisation lies frozen deep beneath the Antarctic ice — and could even be Atlantis
DECEMBER 13, 2016 9:27PM
c131ffdbd087956bcf92887ab5e6e1f2

Could there be a secret city under Antarctica?

THERE might just be a hidden city frozen underneath Antarctica, according to shock claims.
The huge continent is an icy mass, and is currently only inhabited by scientific researchers and penguins thanks to its freezing temperatures, reports The Sun.

Rumours of a hidden city have been floating about for years, as conspiracy theorists and even some scientists claim the freezing continent is actually the home of the legendary Lost City of Atlantis.

One scientific theory claims that once upon a time Antarctica was ice-free and home to an ancient civilisation.

The theory, called crustal displacement, alleges that movements in the Earth’s crust meant that large parts of Antarctica were ice-free 12,000 years ago and people could have lived there.

Allegedly, a society could have existed “prehistory”, coming to an end with the last Ice Age which froze over the continent.

And this could have been Atlantis, a mythical city founded by people who were half god and half human which was first mentioned by Greek philosopher Plato in 360BC.

2ce3caee0cdd2101d12a03b4f144623b

It’s a lofty theory, but one with plenty of intrigue.

Speculation over the location of the legendary long-lost city is rife, with others believing it to have been near the Greek island of Santorini.

Antarctica’s secret city was apparently “confirmed” by an ancient map called the Piri Reis map, compiled in 1513 from military intelligence.

It appears to show the Antarctic coast hundreds of years before it was discovered, but was denounced by many scholars at the time.

However, earlier this year photos from NASA appeared to reveal traces of a human settlement underneath the ice.

The pictures, taken using remote sensing photography for NASA’s Operation IceBridge mission to Antarctica, show what online sleuths believe could be a city.

Google Earth images also appeared to show a pyramid poking out of the tundra, with enthusiasts claiming that it is proof humanity once lived in the area and built a man-made structure.

The fascinating discovery comes just weeks after scientists revealed the Earth could be heading for another mini ice age caused by the Sun “going blank”.

Conspiracy theorists went wild earlier this year when a video claiming to be from the lost city emerged.

It appeared to show extensive ancient ruins hidden in the ice, and was a video supposedly “left behind” by a California TV crew who have been missing since 2002.

Archaeologist Jonathan Gray claimed that the US government is trying to block the video from being seen because it reveals there is a “massive archaeological dig under way two miles beneath the ice”.

c000fc70705bf050853f20018acf5cfc

This handout file photo taken on October 12, 2008 by NASA shows the ice front of Venable Ice Shelf, West Antarctica.

But that’s not the wildest claim — with several online websites claiming that there is a city in Antarctica and Hitler knew about it, making it a secret Nazi base.

The wild claims state that the Nazis claimed an area of Antarctica as German territory and sent an expedition there.

They then allegedly mapped the area and discovered a network of rivers and caves, one of which led to a large geothermal lake.

A city-sized base was built there, called “Base 22 or New Berlin”, and supposedly was home to not only Nazis but also the Illuminati.

However, things get even weirder, with suggestions that the Germans discovered abandoned alien technology or contacted aliens, and used it to make super weapons.

And some people think the rumoured base still exists, with the Germans, aliens, and the Illuminati planning to launch a New World Order from it.

In October, explorers discovered the remnants of a secret Nazi base hidden deep in the Arctic, just 960km from the North Pole.

Whatever beings may be inhabiting the base, they’ll need to make sure to wrap up warm — with one unlucky Antarctic explorer revealing this week he is suffering from the painful-sounding condition Polar Penis.

Are aliens trying to contact Earth? Six new mysterious blasts of radio energy are detected from deep space
By Shivali Best For Mailonline11:47 EST 23 Dec 2016, updated 15:53 EST 23 Dec 2016

  • The origin of the radio energy remains unknown, but researchers believe it may be from a young neutron star
It may be three billion light-years away from Earth, but this distant constellation could be trying to contact us.

Six bursts of radio waves have been detected from the constellation Auriga, each lasting just a few milliseconds.

While the source of the waves remains unknown, some suggest they mysterious bursts of energy could be a sign of alien life trying to contact us.

WHAT ARE FAST RADIO BURSTS?
Fast radio bursts, or FRBs, are radio emissions that appear temporarily and randomly, making them not only hard to find, but also hard to study.

The mystery stems from the fact it is not known what could produce such a short and sharp burst.

This has led some to speculate they could be anything from stars colliding to artificially created messages.

The first FRB was spotted, or rather 'heard' by radio telescopes, back in 2007.

But it was so temporary and seemingly random that it took years for astronomers to agree it wasn't a glitch in one of the telescope's instruments.

The waves were detected by researchers from McGill University in Montreal, using the Green Bank Telescope in West Virginia, and at the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico.

In their paper, published in The Astrophysical Journal, the researchers, led by Paul Scholz, wrote: 'We have detected six additional radio bursts from this source: five with the Green Bank Telescope at 2 GHz, and one at 1.4 GHz with the Arecibo Observatory, for a total of 17 bursts from this source.'

The detection follows 11 previously recorded outbursts from the same location, called FRB 121102.

This is the only known repeater of fast radio bursts (FRBs) - radio emissions that appear temporarily and randomly.

Despite there being a number of FRBs from the site, the origin of the bursts is an ongoing puzzle to researchers.
But the researchers say that the repeated outbursts imply that whatever is causing the radio bursts is not a one-time event, such as an explosion or collision.

Instead, they say that flares from a young neutron star – the dense core left behind where a star explodes – are a promising candidate.

The researchers added: 'Whether FRB 121102 is a unique object in the currently known sample of FRBs, or all FRBs are capable of repeating, its characterisation is extremely important to understanding fast extragalactic radio transients.'

Previously when waves have been detected, astronomers have also asked Seti (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) to take a closer look at whether they could be a message from ET.

But it is unclear if the McGill researchers will ask Seti to help this time.

Is 2016 the year aliens became real?

galaxy_final.jpg

Akshat Rathi
December 22, 2016

In the popular imagination, a scientist is methodical and rational, working tirelessly and single-mindedly, ignoring repeated failure, all in pursuit of the truth. That’s about as far away from what most people think of when they hear “aliens”: Hollywood, pulp sci-fi novels, and crackpot conspiracy theorists. Which is why 2016 was a pretty strange year, with these worlds colliding in the pages of peer-reviewed journals and the hallways of some of the world’s highest institutions of astronomical study.

In October, two Canadian researchers studied archival data and found rapid bursts of light coming from a group of 234 stars across the sky. Because the researchers couldn’t attribute the bursts to any natural phenomenon, they concluded it might be aliens—that amount of energy could, in theory, indicate something like a radio beacon produced by a sufficiently advanced civilization.

“We have to follow a scientific approach, not an emotional one,” one researcher told New Scientist. “But intuitively—my emotion speaks now—I strongly suspect that it’s an ETI [extra-terrestrial intelligence] signal.”

In August, a Russian telescope recorded a very strong radio signal—not unlike AM or FM, but of a different frequency—emanating from the star HD 164595 some 94 light years away. The signal stuck out to researchers because HD 164595 is a sun-like star, and in recent years, scientists have found that these sorts of stars often have Earth-like planets around them. “[The signal’s] strength is great enough that it was clearly made by a civilization with capabilities beyond those of humankind,” one scientist working on deciphering the signal told CNN.

And, finally, all year there’s been a steady trickle of stories on the continued mystery of Tabby’s star. In Oct. 2015, researchers at Yale University found in archival data a star that exhibited a pattern of dimming that could not be explained by any natural phenomenon. This year, the more data scientists collected, the stranger the star got. A leading theory—yet to be disproved—is that a much more advanced alien civilization has built a mega-structure around the star to sap its energy.

It won’t surprise you to hear that all this news was met with deep skepticism among astronomers. After all, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. But even so, it’s striking that so many serious scientists are suddenly ascribing new phenomena to aliens.
Our telescopes have gone full IMAX
“There’s plenty of historical precedent for [alien theories]” says Seth Shostak, director of the SETI Institute. “When radio astronomy really gathered steam in the 1960s, some of the interpretations of phenomena such as quasars and pulsars involved aliens too. They’re often a favorite explanation for phenomena that are, at first, not understood.”

Today, years of investment in astronomy and imaging technology are starting to pay off—and that means a lot of new phenomena that need explaining.

We now have telescopes up in space, far from our planet’s light-polluted atmosphere, that can zoom in on a tiny part of the sky and record images in great detail. (The Kepler space observatory, for example, trails the Earth’s orbit around the sun, keeping a distance of tens of millions of miles away from our planet.) We also have groups of telescopes spread across the globe that can continuously monitor one section of the sky for, say, moving objects.

“It’s like we’ve gone from looking down a drinking straw while using older generations of telescope to using a full-picture IMAX camera with the newer telescopes,” says Steve Croft, a radio astronomer at the Berkeley SETI Research Center.

We’re now collecting a staggering amount of data: the area of sky surveyed, the number of times it can be surveyed, and the amount of different regions of the electromagnetic spectrum that can be surveyed are all going up. Meanwhile, as the number of instruments and the data they gather has gone up, so has the number of astronomers working in the field. The American Astronomical Society has gone from 3,700 members in 1980 to more than 8,000 today; the International Astronomical Union has grown from 4,500 to 12,400 in the same time frame. And everyone’s collaborating more these days. “You rarely see a single author paper any more,” says Croft.

That’s because we’re getting better at storing, sorting, and sharing all that data. “The barrier to entry is lower for those who want to do science with these huge data archives,” says Croft. There are now services like the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) that allow astronomers around the world to poke and dissect past data using new techniques.

For instance, the rapid bursts of light reported in October, were, in fact, not observed in that month. The report was based on archival data gathered before 2011, that Ermanno Borra and Eric Trottier of Université Laval got through SDSS and then analyzed for strange observations.

But 2016 is special for one more reason. In January, researchers started spending the $100 million that Russian billionaire Yuri Milner set aside for his Breakthrough Listen project. The 10-year grant allows researchers to buy time on radio telescopes specifically to search for ETI signals and to expand the range of frequencies they can listen to. The grant should allow researchers to study 10 times more of the sky than previous searches focused on ETI.

“The investment in Breakthrough Listen has put us more in the public eye,” says Croft, a beneficiary of the fund. “It raised the public consciousness of the project from people sitting in tin-foil hats to making it a legitimate scientific pursuit.”

Croft is being modest. Ever since we invented radio, the search for extraterrestrial life has been a legitimate scientific inquiry. The reason some laugh at the pursuit is because the odds of success have always been very low. It’s also why governments haven’t dedicated serious money towards it. What’s changed in the last few years is those odds of success have improved. It’s humbling: new discoveries consistently show our solar system is not particularly unique in having planets that could harbor life as we know it.

“We are possibly at a threshold of our search for extraterrestrial life,” says Croft. “We have all this cosmic real estate that we are aware of. There are likely billions of planets in our own galaxy that are potentially habitable. So it’s a valid scientific question to ask: are any of those inhabited? Are they giving any signals that we may be able to detect?”

I don’t know… therefore aliens
And, yet, for all the alien news in 2016, we’re still far from being sure we’ve found any. With lower barriers to entry for researchers, it’s even more important that those who use available data do so carefully.

“You need to understand the instrument, the archive, and the data you are looking at,” says Croft. “There are subtleties in the data that we have seen that you haven’t taken into account.”

The Borra and Trottier research, for example, has been criticized for misinterpreting what the archival data really show. It’s likely their claim will fall through the cracks of peer review, when other experts in the field analyze it as they try to get it into a scientific journal. “It’s not a bad idea to look for a signal, it’s just that they didn’t do their homework,” Peter Plavchan of Missouri State University told the New Scientist.

The mystery of the strong radio signal from star HD 164595 has already been resolved. Instead of emanating from the star, the most likely source of the signal was a military satellite orbiting the Earth.

“In the years ahead, you can expect more news about aliens,” says Croft. “Hopefully, it’s news that is vetted and convincing.”

Those who are invested in the ETI search do think they have some idea of what a real alien signal would look like. In astronomer Carl Sagan’s 1985 novel Contact, an ETI astronomer discovers a signal that forms a series of pulses containing prime numbers: 1, 3, 5, 7, 11 and so on until 101. Croft concurs with Sagan’s speculation. “If a sufficiently advanced civilization out there wants to make its presence known, the signal would be artificial in, say, a narrow range of frequencies or a series of pulses with a mathematical code in it, that is obviously not produced naturally,” he says.

That doesn’t fully account for the other critique often lobbed at alien hunters: their searches involve signals that humans themselves can produce and recognize—like radio signals hiding communiqués in coded math. Isn’t it more likely that aliens would produce signals that we have no framework to recognize or record? That may well be, but researchers have good reason to scour the skies for signals we Earthlings can produce.

“In part, it’s still like looking for keys under the street light. You could’ve lost them in the park, but you look where it’s easiest to look for first,” says Croft. “Our search is motivated based on human technology. We use radios and lasers, so we understand how to detect them and thus for now we’re looking for alien signals in those ranges.”

Radios are a particular favorite among ET researchers, because, unlike light or X-rays, radio signals are not easily absorbed by objects in the way and thus can travel unimpeded for thousands and thousands of light years.

There is a long history of imagining what meeting aliens would be like: from Voltaire depicting giants visiting the Earth to impart knowledge to us lowly humans in his 1752 short story Micromegas to the 2016 movie Arrival where aliens come to simply observe us. What will happen when we actually find an alien civilization is anybody’s guess, but if we survive the first encounter, Croft thinks meeting the next civilizations would not seem extraordinary.

“It would be like what happened with exoplanet discoveries,” says Croft. “Alien civilization number 1 is going to be very interesting, but numbers 2, 3, 10, then 1,000 will normalize things.”

And ETI hunters aren’t cowed by the possibility that years and years of searching might still yield no alien contact—after all, failure is just as much a part of science as success. “We keep improving technology and widening our searches even further. But if we still don’t get anything, the implication of that is pretty interesting too,” says Croft. “It tells us that, while we’ve learned that we live on a pretty average planet going around an average star in an average part of an average galaxy, we might still be very unusual. That would be a profound finding."

Ive seen two real UFO's in my lifetime. One was in Soul Korea area in 1997. The other was just last week in South Carolina. Went out side to move the car for the wife. Looked in the sky. I could see planes of in the distance really high and the stars even higher. All of a sudden i see a ball of gold light way under the planes and as soon as i see it. It hits warp nine and goes from North Carolina way to Florida way in under a second. Also for as long as i can remember. People have been hearing sonic booms in groups of 5 or more. Ive heard them go up to 20 or 30.

Has NASA been HIDING a UFO? ‘Flying saucer’ spotted at space laboratory on Google Earth
NASA has been accused of secretly storing a REAL UFO after a “flying saucer” was spotted in a remote laboratory in images on Google Earth.
By JON AUSTIN
PUBLISHED: 12:11, Wed, Feb 1, 2017 | UPDATED: 13:12, Wed, Feb 1, 2017

The UFO was seen in Google Earth images "parked" in a number of locations at the end of a runway at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, according to alien hunters.

Details of the discovery on Mesa Road at the laboratory were upload to YouTube by channel Name Shame.

The video has been picked up by other UFO websites, including ufosightingsdaily.com.

Scott C Waring, UFO Sightings Daily editor, blogged: "Here is an eyebrow-raising discovery found on Google Earth map by Youtube user Name Shame.

"He found an actual flying saucer parked near the secret military laboratory on the mountain top.

Scott C waring claims the 'UFO' has been spotted at different locations at the lab on Google Earth

"He states 'a spacecraft spotted at the end of the runway. Is NASA playing games? UFO captured. What is it?'

"This disk is low to the ground. So much so that it doesn't cast a shadow, even when the nearby car does. So this disk is about three metres big at its centre, and about 1.5 metres at its edge from the ground."

Mr Waring said he was able to find a number of images of the UFO in different locations at the site on Google Earth.

Her said: "Now, the amazing thing is that if you hit the date bar, you can view photos of the same area in the past, and this disk moves around from place to place.

"It's in the perfect position where no one would be able to see it since its on a hilltop at the highest point in the city with mountain walls on all sides and a military fence around the facility.

The JPL is the birthplace of America's first satellite to orbit the Earth back in 1958. It now acts as the headquarters for several upcoming exploratory missions to study distant planets and asteroids

'Secondly, why would they leave it out in the open to be spotted by the likes of Google Earth?

'Seeing strange anomalies on Google seems to be the latest craze that is rivalling the watching of live images from the International Space Station to get a glimpse of UFOs.

'In most of these instances we see what we look for.'

This is not the first time that UFO Hunters have used Google's satellite technology to make bizarre claims about aliens.

A strange new theory may finally solve the mystery of an “alien megastructure” that has confounded scientists for months

Shiny monster

There isn’t a star like KIC 8462852. For the past 18 months, ever since a group of astronomers introduced the world to its strange, seemingly unnatural fluctuations in brightness, scientists have been obsessed with it.

What’s kept the interest so high is a hypothesis that the fluctuations happen because the star is surrounded by some alien megastructure. Unlike most alien hypotheses, it has so far stood up to challengesbecause no known natural phenomenon could better explain what astronomers are seeing.

That might be about to change. A study to be published on Monday (Jan. 16) in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society suggests that, if KIC 8462852 were to gobble up one or more of its own planets, that could create the patterns of light that put scientists on the case.

What are these patterns? Between 1890 and 1989, the mystery star lost about 14% of its brightness. In cosmological terms, that’s far too quick for any known natural dimming. Stranger still, over the few years before 2011, the Kepler space telescope caught the light from the star dipping for periods of just a few days, some times by as much as 22%.

The “alien megastructure” hypothesis, as Quartz explained previously, is this:

In the 1960s, renowned physicist Freeman Dyson argued that the energy demands of any intelligent race would, within a few millennia using advanced technology, outstrip whatever supply were available on the planet. In that case, the most effective way to start capturing more energy would be to build a solar-panel contraption to capture the star’s light. Such a structure would start small, but in theory eventually cover the whole star, in what is now called a “Dyson sphere.”

The suggestion, then, was that Kepler might have started observing KIC 8462852 while aliens were building a Dyson sphere around it. Hence the gradually declining brightness, as more of the star was surrounded by the sphere, and intermittent darkening as construction activity went on.

Brian Metzger of Columbia University and his colleagues have instead put up the planet-gobbling theory. Planets don’t usually fall into their stars, but one could if, say, a large body like a comet knocked the planet out of its orbit and sent it to its doom. They reason that when a star swallows something as large as a planet, for a cosmologically short period, between 200 years and 10,000 years, its brightness increases as it burns away the planet’s matter. Then it would decline again. So if we happen to have started watching the star towards the end of such a period, it might explain the 14% fall in brightness over 100 years.

Also, an eaten-up planet could leave behind large debris, such as its moon or large pieces of the planet that for some reason weren’t sucked in. These large bodies could be passing in front of the star in orbit, blocking some of its light and causing the brief dips seen by the Kepler space telescope.

As with all the other explanations about KIC 8462852, this is still just a hypothesis. However, if KIC 8462852 is indeed gobbling up planets, some other stars must do it too. Finding another one would be one way to throw away the alien-megastructure hypothesis. (Unless, of course, the other star also just happens to have a Dyson sphere being built around it.)

Jason Wright of Pennsylvania State University at University Park, who suggested the alien-megastructure hypothesis, believes that the planet-gobbling explanation from Metzger and his colleagues is a strong one. “This paper puts a merger scenario on the table in a credible way,” he told the New Scientist. “I think this moves it into the top tier of explanations.”

Alien Coffins: Mystery Behind Alien Boxes Discovered In Egyptian Pyramid
By Anne Dominguez , Jan 03, 2017 09:40 AM EST
cairo-the-mother-of-the-world.jpg

CAIRO, EGYPT - FEBRUARY 9. The Sphinx is seen in front of the Pyramid of Chephren on February 9, 2006 in Giza, Cairo, Egypt. The Sphinx is carved almost entirely from one huge piece of limestone leftover from the carving of the stones for Cheops pyramid and is about 50 meters long and 22 high. Cairo is still the heart of Egypt and is allegorically called 'the Mother of World' Greater Cairo's population is estimated at between 18 and 22 million, roughly a quarter of Egypt's total. Some 62 slums and squatter settlements alone are home to about five million people. And there are countless numbers of people living in the ancient cemeteries known as the City of the Dead. The massive and continual increase in the number of people has overwhelmed the city. Housing shortages are rife, buses are packed to the hilt, snarled traffic paralyses life in the city and broken pipes spew water and sewage into the streets. Everything i s discolored , buildings, buses and footpaths are brown and grew from smog and desert dust. (Photo : Marco Di Lauro/Getty Images)
Researchers and alien enthusiasts try to explain the mystery of 'alien coffins' found in Egyptian Pyramid. The mysterious coffin-like boxes made of granite were discovered in 1850 in a serapeum northwest from the Pyramid of Djoser. The precision of the boxes, which was believed to be at least at 20th or 21st century standard leading to speculations about how these boxes were made.

According to experts, the 100-ton black granite boxes with lids weighing at least 30 tons were made very skillfully. The stones were cut in precisely flat surfaces and right-angled corners. Although Egyptians were known to have advanced skills in Mathematics and Geometry which they applied in building perfect pyramids, experts can't explain how they were able to make the 'alien coffins' with extremely high precision.

"The precision is very 21st century, or at least 20th century," alien and UFO theorist Brien Foerster said according to the Daily Star. He added that the construction of the surfaces and the angles are "within a few ten thousandths of an inch"

UFO hunters suggest the granite boxes might be made by aliens with superior technology who visited ancient Egypt. They pointed out that the precision engineered boxes do not match the inscriptions found around its surface. The body of the boxes is inscribed with hieroglyphics which are of very low quality, which makes it hard to believe that they were made by the same skillful hands who made the boxes.

Egyptologists admitted to the low quality of the inscriptions but added that it is not a surprise ancient Egyptian engineers were capable of such extraordinary engineering feat with their advanced mathematical skills.

The researchers added that the alien boxes were made for the burial of Apis bulls, which Egyptians worshipped as incarnations of the god Ptah, cited the Daily Express, and were made to hold the mummified remains of the bulls. However, the boxes were found to be empty leading alien believers to theorize they were made for the burial of extraterrestrial aliens but they left earth soon after before they die.

NASA’s ‘alien cover-up’: Live feed cut FOUR times in seven months as ‘UFOs’ appear

NASA is hiding the existence of aliens and this footage proves it, claim avid alien hunters.

By Simon Green / Published 2nd February 2017

In the last seven months alone, there have been a remarkable four reported instances where live feeds from the International Space Station have been cut – just as mysterious objects appear.

The wild theories started flying back in July 2016 when a bright craft was spotted hurtling towards Earth.

But just as it was about to enter the atmosphere, the footage was cut.

Almost the identical thing happened again three months later.

NASA-alien-cover-up-UFO-584492.jpg

CAUGHT OUT: NASA's live feeds have cut out as UFOs appear

Renowned UFOlogist Streetcap1 commented: “NASA cut the camera feed so quickly even though this was very distant.”

Viewers barely had time to come to terms with the footage when a month later a UFO was spotted and the live stream was cut again.

But it was what happened at the beginning of 2017 that has left people wanting answers.

Renowned UFO YouTubers Secure Team 10 noticed an astronaut covering the lens of a camera on the International Space Station.

NASA-ISS-live-feed-cut-space-814091.jpg

BIZARRE: The strange incidents have happened four times in just seven months

In the distance, a small spot can be seen flying across the screen moments before the astronaut’s hand obscured the view.

“We not only see a UFO fly overhead but we are also going to see the astronaut attempt to hide this activity by putting his hand in front of the camera,” said Tyler, from Secure Team.

“And he actually does this a couple of times.”

NASA have never responded to the claims and the supposed alien spacecraft could simply be passing meteors.

Glowing UFO spotted soaring over Mexican volcano which erupted just days ago

In the bizarre video a glowing orb can be seen floating towards the active Colima volcano in the central American country

BY GUY BIRCHALL

FOOTAGE has emerged which purports to show a UFO flying over a volcano in Mexico.

In the bizarre video a glowing orb can be seen floating towards the active Colima volcano in the central American country.

Footage also apparently shows the object vanishing behind the active volcano

The object flies at a low altitude past the active volcano before vanishing behind some rocks.

The video was shot on a webcam to monitor the activities around the volcano in the west of Mexico.

It was filmed on Sunday and has not yet been officially identified.

The footage was then posted to LiveLeak where internet users speculated on the origin of the UFO.

One user wrote: “Aliens. Definitely aliens. This is the only thing to explain Donald Trump and Theresa May.”

Another commented: “It’s swamp gas! It’s near a volcano!”

A third suggested: “Probably fireworks or home-made lanterns. They set those off if that area. They’re called Cantoya’s balloons!”

The footage has emerged just days after the volcano erupted.

The column of ash was more than four kilometres high, according to National Coordinator of Civil Protection, Luis Felipe Puente Espinosa.

He tweeted: "Explosion of VolcándeColima at 7:49 am, with a height of more than 4 km, northeast direction."

Those living in the close to the volcano have been warned to take precautions, with ash fall likely.

Health officials have warned them to stay inside and avoid driving.

Colima is one of the most active volcanoes in the country and activity at the site has been growing stronger for several days.

From Tibet to Nepal: CIA Declassifies Files on UFO Sightings Over Himalayas

1050191061.jpg

The CIA recently declassified a selection of documents, in total about 13 million pages. The release included more than mundane analytical reports, with the agency’s investigation into UFO sightings finally now revealed.

The CIA archives show that American spies were interested in UFO phenomenon not just inside the United States and Western Europe, but also sightings were being studied over the Himalaya Mountains.

In 1968, the CIA reported six cases ofUFO sighting in the skies over the Indian region of Ladakh and Sikkim and over the countries of Bhutan and Nepal.

Nepal and Sikkim

On February 19, 1968, a bright object moving at high speed was seen in the sky over the north-eastern Nepal and Sikkim in the north around 21:00 local time.

According to the document, the object was moving at a high speed; it had an elongated shape and was emitting rays of red and green light.

“A fast-moving object, long and thin, emitting red and green bright light, as bright as to cause day-light. Thunder sound heard after few seconds of sighting of object,” the document read.

Bhutan

On February 21, 1968, the CIA reported the observation of another UFO over the capital of Bhutan, Thimpu.

It said that the object gave out a bluish glow and was moving absolutely silently. It further said that the object was moving at a high speed.

The document read that the object was moving, “East to West. However, since due east of Thimpu there is nothing but Indian Territory the direction of flight could well be from North-east to South-west, that is, from the direction of Tibet.”

Ladakh

On March 4, 1968, an unidentified object was seen moving from east to west near the Chang La pass. It flew over the base of the Indian Air Force, in the Fukche and Koyul areas.

“One white light and simultaneously two blasting sounds were heard. Also, one reddish light followed by white smoke,” the CIA report read.

The most interesting thing in this report is an observation that was made on March 25, 1968 in the Kaski district in north-west Nepal.

“A huge metallic disc-shaped object with a six-foot base and four feet in height was found in a crater at Baltichaur, five miles NE of Pokhara,” the report said. Another said, “One white light and simultaneously two blasting sounds were heard. Also, one reddish light followed by white smoke.”

The report further added that similar objects were found in Talakote and Turepasale region.

Why Are UFO Sightings on the Rise?
Rosalie Chan
Conspiracy Theories
10h ago

UFO sightings have skyrocketed since the 1990s, according to new data compiled by statistician Sam Monfort, based on data from the National UFO Reporting Center. With the discovery of seven planets orbiting TRAPPIST-1, people may fantasize about aliens visiting us from out there, but there are probably some pretty concrete reasons why people have spotted more UFOs.

UFO fever started after World War II, when Kenneth Arnold claimed to spot nine high-speed flying objects near Mount Rainier Washington in 1947. This fever hasn’t seemed to calm down, even though academic interest in UFOs has pretty much been shut down since then.

ufo-sightings-have-been-on-the-rise-since-the-1980s.png

UFO sightings have been on the rise since the 1980s.
No, we haven’t suddenly become a sightseeing hotspot for intergalactic aliens. More likely, it has something to do with new technology that may be mistaken for UFOs or spread conspiracy theories about aliens. Next time you see some conspiracy theorist post a video about the latest UFO sighting, keep these three things in mind.

1. There’s been a rise in drones.

These flying objects can easily be mistaken from the distance as alien spacecrafts touching down into our atmosphere. Back in the day, UFO sightings often turned out to be objects like weather balloons, satellites, meteorites, planets, airplanes, and weather anomalies.

But now, enter the drone. These flying mechanical objects zipping through the air may even be deliberately created to look like UFOs, causing unsuspecting viewers to mistake them for out-of-the-world machines. In 2014, some drone enthusiasts even organized a night to strap LED lights to drones and fly them to prank the public and get them to think they’re UFOs.

2. If there are no pics, did it really happen?

Back then, if you claimed to see a UFO, unless you had an expensive camera, there was really no way of verifying whether you saw one or not. But now that people are equipped with smartphone cameras, pictures of UFO sightings can quickly go viral on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, or anywhere else on the Internet. What’s more, people can edit their photos digitally to make the UFO look more like an alien spacecraft — leading to more “UFO sightings.”

3. The internet.

With the internet, it’s easier to figure out how to report sightings. Just type “report UFO sighting” and the NUFORC’s website will pop up. Even if you don’t officially report it, as said before, it’s easy for photos and videos of your “UFO sighting” to go viral. There are conspiracy blogs and websites all over the internet about UFOs and aliens, like this one.

What’s more, countries like the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, and Scandinavian nations report more UFOs. It doesn’t necessarily mean aliens are visiting those countries more — it probably just means people have more access of the internet. That goes the same for countries that report less UFO sightings — likely meaning less widespread internet access.

sam-monfortcompared-internet-access-and-ufo-sightings-per-country.png

Sam Monfort compared Internet access and UFO sightings per country.
The U.S. is especially obsessed with reporting UFOs, as Americans report UFO sightings 300 times greater than any other nation. And when we’re feeling patriotic, we report even more UFOs. UFO sightings in the U.S. spike on, you guessed it, July 4. It’s probably just fireworks and strange lights, although conspiracy theorists will likely disagree.

Reported UFO sightings hit record high
24/02/2017
By Newshub staff

(Digitally altered image / Getty)

NASA's announcement of a solar system with Earth-like planets caused speculation about aliens to run rife among the internet.

And while TRAPPIST-1 may be 39 light years away, we might not have to look that far to find aliens - they could be in our own backyard.

Reported sightings of UFOs are at an all-time high and New Zealand is among the hotspots of activity, according to one US PhD student who's crunched the numbers.

Using data from the National UFO Reporting Centre (yes, there is one), Sam Monfort collated alleged sightings of unidentified flying objects have grown significantly since the 1980s.

The latest decade he plotted in his data visualisation blog is 2010, where sightings top 45,000 a year around the world.

(Sam Manfort / vizthis.wordpress)
Details of what witnesses claim to have seen have also changed over time.

"One of the first recorded UFO sightings comes from Portland in 1905, where a 'buzzing', sphere-shaped UFO descended from the clouds.

"Other shapes began cropping up later, with saucers dominating the scene until the 1990s, when mysterious lights became the most popular," Mr Monfort, a doctoral student of human factors and applied cognition at George Mason University in Virginia, writes.

He talks about a "July 4th effect" where sightings spike after 2008 on the US Independence Day, which could be the result of fireworks lighting up the sky.

Mr Monfort also produced a map of the globe with UFO sightings per 10 million people. North America, the United Kingdom, parts of Europe, Australia and New Zealand are a deep shade of red meaning more than 25 sightings per 10 million people.

(Sam Manfort / vizthis.wordpress)
However, the vast majority of sightings do happen in the US, which has around 2500 reported sightings per 10 million people.

The country's western states, including Washington and Montana, are where you'll find the most sightings along with Maine and Vermont in the northeast.

UFO FLEET CROSSES BORDER: VIDEO OF UFOS ENTERING U.S. FROM MEXICO DISAPPEARS FROM INTERNET [VIDEO]
NORMAN BYRD
JANUARY 29, 2017

As if spotting a UFO fleet flying through the clouds at the Mexico-U.S. border wouldn’t be intriguing enough, the video clip of said UFOs also disappeared from the internet. Not once — twice. So what’s going on? Is this just a prank or has something happened at the border that should worry President Donald Trump far more than crossings being made by a few desperate humans?

The Sun reported this week that a video clip was uploaded to the image site Instagram depicting a flurry of bright lights moving across the sky from Mexico into the United States at the border crossing at Tijuana, Mexico. The 14-minute UFO video captured the action of seven or eight individual lights soaring above the always busy border control post on the California line. But then the video, which shows the bright lights moving about and people pulling over and getting out of their vehicles to watch and/or film the strange objects, disappeared from the internet.

Prior to its vanishing, the UFO video had garnered over 30,000 views in just a few hours.

After its disappearance, The Sun reported that conspiracy theorists began chiming in on the odd chain of events.

Tyler Glockner, who narrates the posts for UFO investigative YouTube channel SecureTeam, said the “fleet” of UFOs video had been uploaded again, only to be quickly removed again. The page itself was removed and the video deleted as if it had never existed. This, to Glockner, was “really strange” and sent up “red flags.”

ufo-fleet-670x388.jpg

Several bright lights, designated UFOs by observers, were seen crossing the Mexico-US border into the United States this week.

“These are objects which someone possibly did not want seen on Instagram which is a big red flag,” he said.

“This gives a signal that we may well have something here.”

But what is it that we have here? One thing it was not, Glockner pointed out, was a random parade of lights crossing the border.

“At first they are random but towards the end four of them align in a rectangular formation so they can’t be balloons,” he noted. Then he added as emphasis, “Whatever they are even the border control agents are focusing on them.”

To make the assumption that the moving lights were anything other than a type of distraction that the border control agents are employed to not only notice but track, evaluate, and deal with if the need arises is to assume an unknown. Glockner appears to make the assumption that the importance of the UFOs was made clear by the border control agents’ attention, which is actually not the case. It is part of their job description to assess possible threats, no matter from what direction they originate.

He also makes the assumption that the moving lights were not balloons based on four of their collective aligning of themselves into a rectangular formation. But coincidences do happen. That is why the word exists to describe a confluence of actions in a given situation. Reading import into the action is projecting one’s own thoughts into the observed situation.

Still, it is unclear what the “UFO fleet” might have been, if the objects were made up of some type of focused light hitting the bottoms of clouds or if they were independent objects, such as the aforementioned — and dismissed — balloons. Of course, balloons are the go-to answer, especially for those ready to ridicule any official government response. However, the truth is, many UFO videos and photos can be explained by the various materials and buoyancy of balloons. Or perhaps Chinese lanterns. (You get why the skeptics go into eye-rolling mode whenever they are confronted with the latest bit of blurry footage or smeared appearing photos — even digital — that move, act, and rise like buoyant balloons or lanterns.)

us-mexico-border-670x388.jpg

Border crossers of a more human kind have been the focus of the new presidential administration in the U.S., the talk of building a wall and making Mexico pay for it angering the government in Mexico City

As for why the original Instagram video and page was taken down, Glockner noted that the user might have taken it down for an unknown reason or Instagram may have removed it for some unannounced reason.

The U.S.-Mexico border is also in the news of late due to newly inaugurated President Donald Trump’s announcements concerning allocating monies to complete its overall construction and having Mexico ultimately pay for said construction after tariffs are placed on Mexico-produced imports into the U.S. CNN reported earlier in the week that Mexico was so angered by Trump’s pronouncements that the Mexican president canceled a trip to the U.S. to meet with the new president.

Chilean navy admits it can’t explain ‘UFO’
By Tom Michael, The Sun

The Chilean navy has admitted it can’t explain a video filmed by its pilots showing a “UFO” in the country’s airspace.

A military helicopter captured the incredible footage in November 2014 during a routine coastal patrol.

The craft – spotted in broad daylight – was filmed using the chopper’s infrared camera.

The “UFO” can be seen hovering in the clouds before appearing to give off some sort of gas as it moves along.

The pilots tracked the craft from around 40 miles away and tried several times to communicate with it.

After receiving no response, they reported it to a pair of nearby radar stations.

But shockingly, neither of them were able to see it on their screens – despite being able to detect the navy choppers.

Air traffic controllers also confirmed that no aircraft had been authorized to fly in the area where the craft was sighted, according to the Huffington Post.

Chilean government agency the CEFAA, which investigates UFO sightings, has been probing the incident for two years.

But after examining the footage and quizzing the pilots, air traffic controllers, and radar operators, CEFAA are still stumped as to what the object is.

General Ricardo Bermúdez, Director of CEFAA during the investigation, said: “We do not know what it was, but we do not know what it was not.”

Speaking after interviewing the airmen, Bermúdez added: “I was very impressed by these witnesses.

“They were highly trained professionals with many years’ experience, and they were absolutely certain that they could not explain what they saw.”

Groundbreaking UFO Video Just Released By Chilean Navy
01/05/2017 11:19 am ET | Updated Jan 05, 2017

CEFAA - the Chilean government agency which investigates UFOs, or UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena), has been in charge of the investigation. Located within the DGAC, the equivalent of our FAA but under the jurisdiction of the Chilean Air Force, CEFAA has committees of military experts, technicians and academics from many disciplines. None of them have been able to explain the strange flying object captured by two experienced Navy officers from a helicopter.

The Chilean government agency always makes its cases public when an investigation is complete, and acknowledges the existence of UAP when a case merits such a conclusion.

General Ricardo Bermúdez, Director of CEFAA during the investigation, told me that “We do not know what it was, but we do know what it was not.” And “what it is not” comprises a long list of conventional explanations. Here is what happened:

On November 11, 2014, a Chilean Navy helicopter (Airbus Cougar AS-532) was on a routine daytime patrol mission flying north along the coast, west of Santiago. On board were the pilot, a Navy Captain with many years of flying experience, and a Navy technician who was testing a WESCAM’s MX-15 HD Forward Looking Infra Red (FLIR) camera, used most often for “medium-altitude covert intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance,” according to the product website. The aircraft was flying at an altitude of approximately 4,500 feet on a clear afternoon with unlimited horizontal visibility, and the air temperature at that height was 50 degrees F (10 C). There was a cloud base above at 10,000 feet, and a layer of stratuscumulos clouds below. The helicopter was flying at about 132 knots, or 152 mph.

A Chilean Navy AS 532SC Cougar helicopter in Mejillones, Chile.

At 1:52 pm, while filming the terrain, the technician observed a strange object flying to the left over the ocean. Soon both men observed it with the naked eye. They noticed that the velocity and the altitude of the object appeared to be about the same as the helicopter, and estimated that the object was approximately 35 to 40 miles (55-65 km) away. It was traveling W/NW, according to the Captain. The technician aimed the camera at the object immediately and zoomed in with the infra red (IR) for better clarity.

The route of the helicopter derived from the displayed geographic coordinates displayed on the camera.

Shortly thereafter, the pilot contacted two radar stations - one close by on the coast, and the other the main DGAC Control system (Ground Primary Radar) in Santiago - to report the unknown traffic. Neither station could detect it on radar, although both easily picked up the helicopter. (The object was well within the range of radar detection.) Air traffic controllers confirmed that no traffic, either civilian or military, had been reported in the area, and that no aircraft had been authorized to fly in the controlled air space where the object was located. The on-board radar was also unable to detect the object and the camera’s radar could not lock onto it.

The pilot tried several times to communicate with the UAP, using the multi-national, civilian bandwidth designed for this purpose. He received no reply.

The technician filmed the object for nine minutes and twelve seconds, mainly in IR. This sensor produces a black and white video in which the black, white and grey tones are directly related to temperature. IR detects heat, and the hotter the material being filmed, the darker it appears on the image. The officers stopped the camera when they had to return to the base and the object disappeared behind the clouds.

The Navy immediately turned over the footage to the CEFAA, and General Bermúdez, accompanied by nuclear chemist Mario Avila, a CEFAA scientific committee member, conducted interviews with the two officers at their Navy base. “I was very impressed by these witnesses,” Avila told me. “They were highly trained professionals with many years experience, and they were absolutely certain that they could not explain what they saw.” Both offiicers also provided written reports at the base, as is required, and for CEFAA.

The Navy Captain stated that the object was a “flat, elongated structure” with “two thermal spotlights like discharges that did not coincide with the axel of motion.” The technician described it as as “white with a semi-oval shape on the horizontal axis.”

The video depicts two connected white circular lights or hot spots, giving off much heat (left). This image was part of an analysis by astrophysicist Luis Barrera. “Envoltura” means “envelope.”

But there is one additional component that makes this footage particularly unique: “In two instances it discharged some type of gas or liquid with a high thermal track or signal,” the technician stated. After filming for about eight minutes, the stunning ejection of a massive plume of a very hot material is captured on the video, trailing behind the object. (The plume blended into the clouds when seen in HD.) Another ejection occurred moments later. It is indeed bizarre to watch this on the video.

The object moved away from the massize plume it ejected just moments earlier.
Following are the three key video excerpts in chronological order; later I include the full ten minute video. Note that at times the camera switches from IR to HD mode. I recommend watching these silent video clips on a large monitor.

The first one shows the object in motion. The camera captured this for about eight minutes prior to the spectacular display in the next video. (Click “back to youtube video” at the end to prevent a new unrelated video from starting.)

This clip shows the first expulsion of the hot material from the object and the object’s movement away from the plume:

The second expulsion occurred at the end of the video:

During the following two years, at least eight somewhat contentious meetings were held with members of the baffled CEFAA scientific committee, some of which included the active Air Force General who directs the DGAC. According to CEFAA international affairs director Jose Lay, the general tone of the meetings was astonishment: “What the hell is that?” No agreement could be reached to explain the video - theories that were proposed were ruled out by the data.

A rather somber meeting of the CEFAA scientific and military committee to discuss the Navy video. The DGAC Director presided (with his back to the camera).

Written reports or video analyses were provided by the well-known astrophysicist Luis Barrera; an image expert from the Air Force photogrammetric service; photo and video analyst Francois Louange and colleagues from France, arranged through the French agency GEIPAN; Luis Salazar, Chilean Air Force meteorologist; a DGAC aeronautic engineer; a digital images specialist from the National Museum of Aeronautics and Space in Santiago; and Mario Avila, a nuclear chemist. All radar, satellite weather data, and details of air traffic in that sector at that time were provided.

DGAC’s Director, Air Force General Victor Villalobos, attended two committee meetings on the case.

The French analysts proposed that the object was a “medium-haul aircraft” coming in for a landing into the Santiago airport, and “the effluent trail observed on two occasions probably results from dumping some cabin waste water, forming a plume oriented along the local wind blowing from the west.” They based this on their calculation that the distance between the two hot spots was “consistent with the standard distance between the two jet engines of a medium-haul aircraft.”

Chilean experts knew that this would have been impossible, for a number of reasons: This plane would have been seen on primary radar; it would have had to be cleared for landing in Santiago or at another airport; it would likely have responded to radio communications. Airplanes do not throw out water when landing. In fact, in Chile a plane wishing to eject any material must request permission from the DGAC before doing so; that regulation is widely known and respected. And, it seems unlikely that this experienced pilot would not have recognized this as an airplane, or at least kept that option open afterwards if it were a possibility.

In fact, if - hypothetically - water was expelled, it would have immediately plummeted to the ground given the warm air temperature. According to NASA, “Contrails are human-induced clouds that usually form at very high altitudes (usually above 8 km - about 26,000 ft) where the air is extremely cold (less than -40ºC). Because of this, contrails form not when an airplane is taking off or landing, but while it is at cruise altitude.” The plume ejected from the object must have been some kind of gas or energy, and was not something tangible like water.

The French calculations confirmed that the UAP’s altitude was the same as the helicopter’s, and that “the helicopter’s velocity along its linear trajectory was constant (120 kt),” just as the witnesses had stated. In addition, Louange and his colleagues determined that the average distance between the helicopter and the object was “almost exactly the estimated value reported by the Navy (55 km).” Clearly the two witnesses were competent and accurate observers.

Data from the various reports eliminate other conventional explanations. Meteorologists determined that no weather balloons were in the sky at that time, and noted that a ballon would not move horizontally along with the plane because the wind was blowing from the west towards the shore. Comparing the footage to similar IR satellite imagery with known temperature values, they stated that the object’s temperature must have been higher than 122 degrees F (50 C). The object was not a drone; all drones require registration with the DGAC and whenever flown, the DGAC is informed, just like it is with aircraft. Also, radar would register drones. CEFAA staff went up the chain of command to a Navy Admiral who informed them that there were no joint Naval exercises underway with the US or any other country. The Admiral confirmed that this could not have been a US drone, or any type of espionage or secret vehicle from a foreign country.

Astrophysicist Barrera explored the possibility of space junk re-entry - especially Russian - which somehow may have broken and released compressed gases at this low altitude. It was confirmed that no space debris entered the atmosphere on that date in that location, and in any case, such an object would have fallen rapidly and not flown horitzontally. Two independent experts on explosives told CEFAA staff that in such a scenario, the rounded vehicle would explode in the air due to the high internal pressure, and that the gas would catch fire in a flash. And any such re-entries would have been communicated to the Chilean government so that aircraft can be warned, as is the protocol.

Barrera also noted that when the first ejection event occurred, the material came out from two different parts of the object and then joined in space making one wake. The first was massive and dark in the IR (meaning very hot); the second lighter and semi-transparent.

Air Force photo analysts confrmed that the object was a real, three dimensional form with volume and that it “has control in its movements.” It was not affected by the winds, reflected the light, and threw out “some kind of energy.” They established that there was no evidence of hoaxing or of “alteration of the video by any computer application in the editing and processing of the images.” They also ruled out a bird, flying insect, drone, parachute or hang glider. “It can be concluded that the object has all the characteristics to be classified as an unidentified aerial phenomenon” wrote Alberto Vergara, the lead analyst from the Air Force Photogrammetric Department.

It is unclear how much of the apparent horizontal motion of the object may be the clouds moving or the relative motion of the camera on the helicopter, but the witnesses reported that the object kept pace with the chopper and the French analysts confirmed this. Also noteworthy is the fact that when in HD mode, the large plume looked like part of the cloud and would never be noticed as anything unusual by an observer. Without the IR camera, it would have been difficult to see the white object against the sky and impossible to capture this remarkable footage. It makes one wonder what kind of actiivites may take place within clouds that are unknown to us.

Here is the full ten minute video of the sighting:

“This has been one of the most important cases in my career as director of CEFAA because our Committee was at its best, “ General Bermúdez said in an email. “The CEFAA is well regarded partly because there is full participation from the scientists of the academic world, the armed forces through their representatives, and the aeronautic personnel from the DGAC, including its Director. I am extremely pleased as well with the conclusion reached which is logical and unpretentious.” The official conclusion was that “the great majority of committee members agreed to call the subject in question a UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon) due to the number of highly researched reasons that it was unanimously agreed could not explain it.”

This case represents one of the most puzzling and fascinating of all cases in the CEFAA files, according to Jose Lay. “It is our first video taken with a sophisticated camera in the infra red; the first time we have ever seen the ejection of a substance from a UAP; the first time we have a sighting lasting over nine minutes with two highly reliable witnesses,” he said when we spoke.

General Ricardo Bermúdez has directed the CEFAA since its inception in 1997. He retired on Jan. 1, 2017, but will remain an advisor to the agency.

The CEFAA has been a world leader in official and open investigations of UFOs. I have been priviledged to work closely with the staff there for about five years, learning a great deal. At the end of December, General Bermúdez retired, and although he remains an external advisor to the agency, Lay has assumed the duty of interim director until another General is appointed by the DGAC. I am grateful to General Bermúdez for giving me access to the outstanding CEFAA case files, inviting me to attend meetings there, and for his time in answering my questions. He has left a tremendous legacy with regards to the serious study of UAP and the official recognition of a real unexplained phenomenon in our skies.

WATCH GEORGE W. BUSH REFUSE TO TELL JIMMY KIMMEL ABOUT UFOS
ARJUN WALIA MARCH 3, 2017

Multiple presidents and presidential candidates have commented on UFOs over the decades. It started when president Truman went on national television to say that they discuss this topic at every conference they have with the military, explaining that “there is always stuff like that going on.”

This topic has gained even more attention now that there are thousands upon thousands of declassified UFO documents within the public domain, not to mention hundreds of whistleblowers with verified backgrounds speaking out.

Just as Jimmy Kimmel did with both the Clintons as well as Obama, he has now asked George Bush the UFO question. Bush responds in a serious manner, and refuses to talk about anything he may know. Bush Senior has also been asked this question before, stating that he knows a “fair amount.”

“This thing has gotten so highly-classified . . . it is just impossible to get anything on it. . . . I have no idea who controls the flow of need-to-know because, frankly, I was told in such an emphatic way that it was none of my business that I’ve never tried to make it to be my business since. . . . I have been interested in this subject for a long time and I do know that whatever the Air Force has on the subject is going to remain highly classified.”

Senator Barry Goldwater, Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee (source)(source)

What’s Important to Remember About the Manipulation of Information
A number of people, for a number of years, have been waking up to what our governments, the corporations that control them, as well as the big banks, have really been doing. We’ve lived in a sea of misinformation and manipulation for so long that it’s almost impossible to trust anything that comes out of a politician like Obama, Trump, Clinton, or Bush.

The bottom line is, people are fed up and most presidencies are subject to the will of the corporations and big banks. What we usually see, year after year, is a continuation of their agendas. A great example is the terror war industry and how false flag terrorism is used to push a heightened nation security state, whichallows our rights to be slowly stripped away from us.

If and when any type of information about UFOs and intelligent extraterrestrial life comes from these sources that have been manipulating us for years on several different topics, like 9/11, I think we can expect the usual dishonesty.

William of Occam has advice for modern truth seekers.
UFO experts are puzzled over the discovery of a massive circular object that appears to have moved erratically on the Pacific sea floor. The discovery has recently become the object of an alien hunter video, sparking speculation.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) -- Alien hunters have posted a video to YouTube which they claim shows a UFO on the Pacific sea floor. The object is visible on Google Maps off the coast of British Columbia; 400 miles west of Moresby Island.

Zooming in on the sea floor in Google Earth, a massive, round formation can be seen with a squiggling trail behind it. From all appearances, it appears the object made the trail in the sea floor by slowly trundling along a meandering path. This gives rise to the question, "what could it be?"

The round object, more of a lump than anything, is about 2.5 miles across.

The vast majority of the sea floor is unexplored, and only a fraction of it is mapped in any detail. Most of the data that shows us what the sea floor looks like is approximated. That means it's the best guess made using models of what could be down there. Therefore, our round object might not be very round at all.

There appears to be no explanation yet for the trail that is assumed to be behind it.

14885581141961_700.jpg

Could it be aliens? You can check out the object for yourself by going to the coordinates 49°59'06.2"N 140°03'16.6"W on Google Earth.

Perhaps the object could be a massive alien spacecraft? There have long been reports of mysterious objects underwater, and if aliens wanted to hide from humans, the ocean, and not a desert military base, seems a more logical choice.

However, there is no evidence the object is anything other than an unexplained natural formation. Indeed, this is the explanation for most UFO sightings. People catch glimpses of unfamiliar things and the brain fills in details the eyes missed. Add a spotty memory and a little imagination, and before long the planet Venus, low in the western sky becomes a spacecraft with windows and lights, flying in erratic patterns.

Every alien sighting we have investigated has one thing in common, all of them are not aliens. In fact, there is zero credible evidence aliens have ever visited Earth. And while most people assume aliens exist, there remains no hard, scientific evidence that aliens actually exist.

The far more likely explanation of what is on the Pacific sea floor is that it's a natural phenomenon we simply don't yet understand, mostly because we have not made a good observation of it yet. This is a far more plausible explanation than aliens.

This is what the medieval Catholic monk, William of Ockham (1287-1347) would have concluded as well. Ockham was a scholar and a monk who developed one of the most useful philosophical tools we have today, known as "Occam's razor."

Occam's Razor is a guideline that states: among competing hypothesis, the one with the fewest assumptions should be selected.

Unless you live in certain parts of Africa or a zoo, when you hear beating hooves you should think "horse" not zebra. Likewise, applying Occam's razor to the present mystery, we should prefer to think we are dealing with a natural phenomenon that simply needs study. The idea of aliens existing, developing spaceflight, flying to Earth and building a 2.5-mile mobile base on the Pacific sea floor simply requires too many assumptions to be credible.
