i like the RB and WR. think those 2 will be steals. we always draft good RBs. Roschon comes off like he plans to be the starter sooner rather than later. But i can see Foreman preventing that from happening eary on. Foreman was above average behind both the Titans OL and Panthers OL. our OL is actually great at run blocking, so Foreman should still eat. Not familiar with the other draft picks. the chase claypool trade (whereas we gave up a early 2nd round pick) will sting if he doesnt look half decent, or if Dexter Sr doesnt work out.

secondary is FINALLY developing into something nice, despite Eddie getting older. still not feeling the money that they gave Edmunds - but i think his deal is front loaded, so if he doesnt work out, he'll be gone. our DL still has holes. hopefully they grab a couple vet FA DEs. got a strong feeling the defense will still give up points. and many will require Justin/the offense stay on the field, longer than they should , to clean up the mess. gonna suck if they give up on Justin after year 2 of a new offense/year 1 with new weapons. but he wasnt Ryan Poles draft pick. feel like Ryan is giving Justin props simply because the fans & media are showing more love.

now that 1 SB title in 20+ year AAron rodgers is gone, i think our main competition in the div is the Lions - cant believe i typed that smh

I really like out RB room and agree with you on Foreman the the OL's run blocking prowess. It's a long season, and dudes get dinged up so I expect all three guys to get a decent amount of carries (they're also trying Roschon as a returner). I think Getsy or Flus already mentioned how that position is one where you "go with the hot hand" game-to game, which is fine by me (show and prove every week, no hurt feelings).

Crazy Stat. Since the Bears drafted Donnell Woolford in round 1 in '89, every Bears DB drafted in the 1st or 2nd round has had a good to great career. Accolades ranging from All-rookie teams to Pro Bowl or All-Pro either with the Bears or elsewhere:

CB Donnell Woodford rd.1 '89
S Mark Carrier rd.1 '90
CB Walt Harris rd.1 '96
S Tony Parrish Rd.2 '98
S Mike Brown rd.2 '00
CB Charles Tillman rd.2 '03
S/KR Daniel Manning rd.2 '06
*Devin Hester CB/KR/PR/WR(was drafted as CB) rd.2 '06
CB Kyle Fuller Rd.1 '14.

Guess that means we can look forward to 2n round picks-Gordon, Brisker and Stevenson to have good to great careers.

It is unusual for a team to have so much success with high picks in a certain area for such a long period of time.

Winning 9 games sets a positive tone going into next season and also might make Chicago a key FA destination. Here's the but though. If we do win 9 regular season games, we'll actually know we're making progress if 3 of them are against playoff caliber teams. While any win is a good win, we've seen this before in recent years with Bears teams .500 or better-mostly getting fat of of creampuffs and over-rating our team. Poles seems smarter than previous Bears GMs in this aspect.

All things being equal, I just hope Justin watched enough film of his sliding technique and adjusts accordingly, he’s taken some hits these first couple of years that’ve knocked out other QBs for WEEKS.

I also hope the league office showed officials his sliding technique and then laid into them about how many roughing calls they flat out ignored. 90% of the hits he took should’ve been 15 years and one or two ejections.
