As a former submariner.....
They're dead....
We had escape procedures but we all knew they were bullshit....you not getting out at that depth and those pressures.....
The good thing about it is that it will be quick and painless....unless they lost controls and sank to the bottom and asphyxiatiated....that wouldn't be pleasant at all....freezing cold and suffocating....has to be awful

I’m on a cruise now. We just left 3 ports in Ireland. 2 of the ports were where the titanic was built and went to sea.
