Anyone investing heavily this year??

Trudeau and the canadian goverment are pushing hard for weed legalization, should be approved before april 20th.
I'm starting to research canadian companies like aphria (APH), canopy growth (CGC) and organigram (OGI)

May sell off my sierra wireless stocks and move them in the marijuana market

Was told about this two weeks ago...about Canada blow stock...

Dude said he got in on CGC when it was a penny stock...(kinda don't believe him but it kool) at that time it was $16.96 today it closed $19.69 with a high of $21.00....


I found a penny stock company MJNA I've been watching for the last week...

Today It closed at $.096 with a high of $.120....


I'm research a few more and make a move at the beginning of next week...

Damn i'm just seeing this..

Etrade is a good platform...i use CIBCs investors edge...$6.95 per trade and no ECN fees...questtrade is good as well..lil lower cost per trade $4.95 but there are other fees...research each and see whats best for what you're trying to do..

Just after i made that initial post i decided to just buy shares in aphria...bought a couple hundred shares at $6.35...price is up to $21.30 *edit* currently dipped to $18.02...projections are that it may hit $35-$50 by next fall

Could not really capitilise on the VIX Drop.
Made 490$ selling a 240/245 NFLX put spread since feb 12th risking 2400$.

That is the nice thing of options. You can use them how you see fit.
Example you want to own the stock, but want to buy at a discount.
In that case selling PUT options is the way to go like Warren Buffet.

As always there are risks involved so you need to understand them and practice.
You can do that with a ThinkorSwim paper trade account

My portfolios been slumpin for a few months but there was a big push late last summer. If I experience a similar push this summer Im def cashin SOME out.

wouldnt recommend taking any out of what you have laready invested

Market won't do better than 2% rest of year unless you have some real winners in your portfolio. Non brick and mortar, online banks are competitive if you know where to look 1.5%-1.75%

at least there is a general consensus that a recession is coming in 2 years. i would say, we still have till end of this year to make some money. start pulling back early next year.

jumped on Tilray yesterday morning at 141. bought 700 shares. and then for some dumb ass reason, I decided to write covered calls against it for $175 sept 21st. for the love of my life I still don't know what I did that dumb ass shit. anyways, needless to say, I woke up today, and it was already up like what up to 200 premarket. so now I am scrambling to buy the contract back. let's just say I made a mess of things. ended up up 50k. coulda been sitting on 210,000 by mid afternoon today. GREED is not a good thing.
