Any of you guys subscribe to investment newsletters? I had been thinking about it for a while but every time I get close to pulling the trigger I read an article that says it's a waste of money. Somebody recommended the Wellington Letter a few years back but like I said, I dind't bite.

TSLA is stock is going up....
therefore SELL vertical option credit spread TSLA 100 14 210 /205 PUT @ 1.17
risking 383 dollars to make 117
this is for one contract

Stock has to stay above the 210 to keep all the money.
49 days to go so plenty of time value in the the option

So you could trade 10 contracts, but I can't handle that much riks so I'm only trading 3.

Stock is up 5% today
Remaining option premium is very low. No reason to keep position open longer.
therefore cLosed position Buy VERTICAL TSLA 100 14/210/205 PUT @.26
So I made 275$ for 3 contracts

It was up to $27 in the past year -- what drove it back down?
Seems like a lot of volatility.

yeah a lot of investors can't seem to make up their mind about it. (i guess they do now), i didn't even know about it till about a month ago when i was watching CNBC or Fox business news, can't remember which one, and the CEO was talking about it. i did some research and figured it was worth sitting on a few of it. even so, with the amount of volatility i only bought 523 shares. didn't want to risk too much.

:lol::lol::lol: how is it even allowed to trade at such low levels?

I've been wondering about that for years. Why is a company even publicly traded if their stock is worth less than a penny? They could do a 1,000 to 1 reverse split and it would still be less than 2 cents. For that matter, why not do a reverse split unless you just want to sound like a big shot "I own a million shares."

Sup fam as the title states i'm looking into spreading my money into high yielding or good stocks that pay dividends quarterly or even yearly.

I know it's some stock gurus on here so i'm reaching out trying to pick your brains to diversify my stock portfolio give as much info on the company as you possibly can and what hot watches you are peeping for this year.

Thank you in advance, LETS MAKE THIS DAMN MONEY!!!!

stock symbol O pays monthly dividends of $0.18 per share. but if you keep reinvesting, hey.......

:( I'm looking to get into the assisted living field. After looking up facilities in the area I found one that was corporately owned. Five Star Quality(FVE) it was up over 4% yesterday but I didn't want to buy on an upswing. I looked at similar companies who's stock was in that range and noticed Skilled Healthcare(SKH) looked promising. I didn't jump in................................. It's up 19.84% today. :crymeariver:

Haven't dealt with them before ... just back in the 90s and early-2000s ... dealt with CSBs (Canada Savings Bonds). The returns were decent. Also dealt with GICs (General Interest Compound) in the portfolio then too.

thanks i wonder how those companies are doing now

bump.. anyone deal in junk bonds if so speak on it

Bonds can be tricky depending on your investment horizon.
I thought it was a set and forget thing. You buy the bond and you get like 7% yield per year.
It doesn't work like that. Every bond is different.

Ain't no such thing as a sure bet. Also depends on whether you want to trade for the long term or short term.

I know I'm about to dump my FB and go in on ARWR and GPRO

i wouldn't dump FB totally. and with ARWR, i would ease my way in. 5000 grand to start maybe and then dollar cost average your way monthly into it. but that's just me
