Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRK.A) (BRK.B), the conglomerate controlled by billionaire Warren Buffett, acquired about10.5 million shares of Occidental Petroleum Corp. (OXY) stock valued at nearly $589 million between Dec. 11 and 13, according to a Thursday filing. Berkshire Hathaway now owns about 238.53 million shares, valued at roughly $13.65 billion. Occidental's total market capitalization is currently at $48.9 billion. Occidental Petroleum's stock was up by 2.4% in premarket trades.

This Biden economy has treated me good this year, Crypto was 60% of my portfolio last year now it is less then 10%. I beat the benchmark S&P 500 with 34%. The stock market is better then real estate.

Do you prefer Charles Schwab over Merrill Lynch for trading?
Doesnt really matter if you are just buying and holding. Schwab/Think or Swim has one of the best trading desktop apps out there but if you are not into using charts, day trading, or futures I don't think it matters which one you use.
Right now I’m using Merrill edge only because I’m a BOA customer. From the little research that I’ve done, Fidelity seems to have the best mobile app and allow you to do fractional trading, but Charles Schwab has the absolute best customer service, and desktop app.
Fidelity and Schwab are neck to neck except fidelity offers fractional shares but no futures trading. The Fidelity desktop app is good but dated and can be intimidating based on looks. I've dealt with Fidelity customer service a couple times I always got through fast and they were helpful
I like Fidelity for long term / roth
I like thinkorswim (C. Schwab) for charting
I like Webull for day trading.

I am a novice and still made 30% and I can get out if the market gets crazy. Real estate it may take months to sell
