Good points. I may stick with the 16GB. But we're talkin about only a $700 difference soooooooooo...........:puzzled:.......................I just may go wit the 32G because of that

Oh damn I didn't realize the price difference was that close, yeah that might not be a bad look then... For sure will make you future proof

Which monitor would you recommend? So stick with the Mac Mini 16GB instead of the Studio M1 Max?

VipQK0.jpg
They’re gonna for sure drop the price on the 2020 Mac Mini after next week. But more significantly, for the same money you‘d be able to get the newer 2022 Mini that they’re expected to announce in less than 2 weeks that will have upgraded features. Again, Mac Studio is overkill.

As for the monitor, get whatever you like. The Mac Studio Monitor, IMO doesn’t blow me away relative to music making. Ok it’s got 6 speakers, but so what? You’d be using near field monitor speakers and headphones anyway. If you were a visuals professional (graphics, video editing etc) it would make more sense. If I were you, I’d just find a nicely spec’d monitor maybe bigger than 24” and go for it. I’ll soon replace my 24” for a 32”.

Bruh..... That nigga was killing it on the Marimbas... The musician in me heard the wrong notes at :07, but that boy cold! Nigga look like a Jackson 5... For some reason I looked at him and the song Dancing Machine came to mind... I wonder if he plays or played for a DCI band, definitely has the talent for it...
Yeah that was amazing!!!!!!

I think it's a great amp. Congratulations are in order!
Yup. I figured I can get this now that I'm building a soundproof studio in the basement. This Amp is loud as shit I heard. I want to upgrade to a 800 watt Gallien Krueger bass amp as well. Now with this Fender Super Reverb amp I won't need a Reverb pedal because I'm getting the Boss RE 202 Space Echo Digtal Delay pedal. Has a 12 setting Reverb on it as well. Should be more than enough to make the creative sounds I want.

Also, looks like Apple announced the new AirPods, Apple Watches and iPhone line in last week's Apple event (I will be ordering an iPhone 14 Pro Max), but it is now expected that an iPad Pro announcement and maybe a new Mac Mini announcement is expected in October around the time that iOS16/iPadOS16 and macOS Ventura goes live.

Good lookin. Now Res, I'm gonna need a good mixing console too right? I'll need your advice with that. When I say I'm all in I'm all in!!

Not necessarily would you need a mixing console.

Good article. So I'm gonna get a Mac so I'll just stick with the interface. Once I get my computer I'll need help with the best software you recommend for editing and recording. Thanks for this. Soon as my studio is finished the piano comes.

Now Res, just to make sure I'm covering all bases at least with my home studio, what are yyour thoughts of me using a mixer as well as computer interface and software for mixing, sampling and recording at home? Is that overkill in your estimation or is there any benefits to having both options? Especially when playing live instruments. I'm gonna need a few microphones as well correct? Wanna pick your brain on every scenario I can think of. Super Reverb amp came too. Goddam this thing is HUGE!!!! Good thing I have a soundproof area to play it in.

Res, I'm gonna need an Audio interface as well correct? Your thoughts on this one? I'm looking at gear I wont have to "trade up" for later. I'd rather just buy what I can use when working with the big dogs now instead of later if possible. Your thoughts?

Question Res, if I get the Beringher X32 40-channel, does this eliminate the need for a Audio Interface? I was thinking of getting this to work WITH my DAW. What do you think?

Good morning!

So, the mixer is not needed. The DAW will have its own mixer.
I'm not familiar with that particular interface.
Just talked to the reps at Sweetwater. They cool as shit. Recommend that I get this........

WITH THE APOLLO X8P I WON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT A DRUM MACHINE.

Sweetwater is tryna make money, my man. So of course they're gonna steer you to something uber expensive when you can have way more than enough for a few hundred dollars. You don't need an audio interface that decked out for what you want to do.

The DAW software, computer and/or iPad Pro are gonna eliminate your need for a drum machine.

As with anything guitar related, I suggest going to the music store and trying it out and seeing if you like it how it sounds. Take your favorite guitar with you.
