You understand it and you know why it is. Altanta was a black city and that carried weight for decades. Each generation got worse, created more headaches and took it for granted. Everywhere I have lived in America (5 places) has places I refuse to or no longer go to and ALL of it is because of NINJAS accept for L.A. All my favorite food spots and hangout spots have fights, gun shots or murdered and it’s ALL ninjas. Even the belt line area was becoming a favorite—now ninjas fucking that up too. You don’t want to say you understand the racism in atlanta because it feels like you’re condoning it, but deep down you understand.
You're conflating your life experiences with others. I said I don't understand. I don't and I never want to.
I "understand" it from a historical perspective and the reasons behind it but that's not how you're using the term understand.
I'm from a small town/city in the South. I grew up under racism. I've seen KKK parades in Sidney Park. I've seen racist flyers in our mailbox and cross burnings on our yard. Those textbook experiences did not die out in the 60s...I grew up in the 80s.
Whatever crime someone may have experienced gave those people no right to judge me, a good student and leader in my school and community. I
I'm really sorry that you have had negative experiences at the hands of Black people. I have as well, in addition to whites, Asians, Indians, etc. I try not to hate/judge people, even whites, unless they give me a reason to. I'm not perfect with it but I wasn't brought up to reciprocate hate. That doesn't mean I wouldn't protect myself and mine.
Whatever people went through or saw on the news isn't justification to deny an applicant a job, house, education, medical care, or beat them half to death or worse. So no, I don't "understand" racist behavior.
