Warner Bros TV Defends Dougray Scott Following Further Social Media Allegations From Former ‘Batwoman’ Star Ruby Rose
By Peter White

The CW
Warner Bros Television has stepped in to defend actor Dougray Scott after his former Batwoman co-star Ruby Rose made further accusations via social media.

The studio has called Scott — who played Kate Kane/Batwoman’s father, Colonel Jacob Kane, on The CW series — a “consummate professional” and stated that there have never been any “allegation against him of bullying, or of abusive behavior on his part.” The studio also reiterated that Rose was fired over “multiple complaints about workplace behavior.”

“We condemn the comments made by Ruby Rose about Dougray Scott. Warner Bros. has found Mr. Scott to be a consummate professional, and never received any allegation against him of bullying, or of abusive behavior on his part. Mr. Scott was greatly respected and admired by his colleagues, and was a leader on the set,” the studio noted in a statement. “Warner Bros. Television did not pick up Ruby Rose’s option for an additional season because of multiple complaints about workplace behavior that were extensively reviewed by the Studio.”

https://deadline.com/2021/10/ruby-rose-batwoman-toxic-behavior-allegations-cw-wbtv-1234858951/

This comes after Rose doubled down on social media activity over the weekend, blasting Scott and threatening legal action against executive producer Greg Berlanti.

“Dougray. I have too many witnesses coming forward with worse than just your anger Issues [stet].. but ur sueing me for 10 million cos @gberlanti shared his lawyer with you.. please.. come first so I can use the money from that case to take on g berlanti,” she wrote on Instagram stories.
It is unclear what Rose is referring to as Scott has not filed a lawsuit against his former co-star. He did issue a strongly worded statement after Rose’s posts last week in which she accused Scott of misconduct on set including allegedly being abusive to women and hurting a female stunt double.
“As Warner Bros. Television has stated, they decided not to exercise the option to engage Ruby for season two of Batwoman based on multiple complaints about her workplace behaviour,” Scott said. “I absolutely and completely refute the defamatory and damaging claims made against me by her; they are entirely made up and never happened.”

Last week, Rose slammed The CW, Warner Bros Television and Berlanti Productions in the blistering online tirade, alleging toxic behavior on the set that drove them from the show, which the actor abruptly left in May 2020. Rose’s initial accusations namechecked Batwoman showrunner Caroline Dries and Berlanti as well as Scott.

Ruby Rose is talking herself into a virtual blackball. She gonna be known as the b that's hard to work with.

I stand by my initial thought regarding it burned her up to see the sister take on the role of batwoman and it be so well recieved. All the love batwoman got at DC Fandom was the straw that broke the camel's back. She couldn't take no mo.

Ruby Rose better hope those cameras weren't rolling during any of her alleged behavior, they may just let her continue talking and out the blue release footage (or audio) confirming what she's been accused of.

I can say this...

I felt they cast her more so because they wanted a gay lead.

Sidebar People forget now that many in that community said she was not really gay.

There were so many other out actresses who actively begged for that role who had more experience and more physicality more presence than her.

just to prove my point

“Yeah. I came to the States to get into acting, and I couldn’t even get a manager or agent, so I made a short film based on my life because I had the time to do it. I put it online, just to say, ‘This is something I wanted to do,’ and it went viral, which I didn’t ever expect. And then I got an opportunity to audition for Orange Is the New Black because they wanted to have a gender-neutral character. But I’ve also gotten backlash. And that’s when you realize you have to keep up with the terminology. When I got cast as a lesbian in Batwoman, I didn’t know that being a gender-fluid woman meant that I couldn’t be a lesbian because I’m not a woman — not considered lesbian enough.

“My initial response was ‘Pfft!’ And then I was like, ‘Wait. Let me just figure this one out. How do I right this wrong, because if someone out there is upset by this, I need to know why and how to fix it.’ That’s when I sort of said, ‘I’m a woman that identifies as a woman. I’m not trans. But if being gender-fluid means that I can’t identify as a woman at any point, then I guess I can’t be that.’ Maybe I need to make up another term, one that doesn’t step on any toes. One where I can be fluid in my gender, but also a lesbian, because otherwise I’m not sure what I am.”

Man this show is so much better….

Between bad casting with Ruby Rose and the terrible screen adaptation of the comic costume - Season 1 was awful. Season 2 suffered by having to do a hard reboot when so much of the story and its relationships seemed set in stone. The show is finally beginning to gel this season. You can tell that the cast gets along on & off screen and it's not trying so hard to reflect issues of modern social injustice. And low key, I love how they've taken a page from the Fast & Furious franchise and made the cast overwhemingly diverse. Mind you, this is a network that's had writers quit (Superman & Lois) because no one noticed that the only black cast member was the villain. And now we have a show where the one recurring villain is the only white cast member. Progress.

There's a scene in this week's episode where Ryan is talking to her brother at Wayne Enterprises, and she's shot in profile. I love that the writers are putting Javicia in business glam this season because she is killing it. I said out loud, Ruby Rose could never...

Batwoman Confirms Catwoman Exists in the Arrowverse
By JENNA ANDERSON - November 10, 2021 10:47 pm EST

The third season of Batwoman has been playing with DC Comics mythos in some compelling ways, as a number of Batman villain trophies have been unleashed on Gotham City. Through the five episodes we've seen thus far, that has involved stories surrounding Mad Hatter, Mister Freeze, Killer Croc, and now Professor Pyg, but it seems as if they've only scratched the surface. This week's episode revolved around the aforementioned Professor Pyg storyline — but it also happened to acknowledge a pretty major character in the Gotham mythos. Obviously, spoilers for Season 3, Episode 5 of Batwoman, "A Lesson From Professor Pyg", below! Only look if you want to know!

The episode opened with Ryan Wilder / Batwoman (Javicia Leslie) and Alice (Rachel Skarsten) being sent on a new mission by Renee Montoya (Victoria Cartagena), which involved investigating a gruesome murder. It appeared as if the murder victim was strung up by a black rope object, which led Renee to speculate that it could be Catwoman's whip. As the episode went along, we learned a bit more context clues about the Arrowverse's version of Catwoman — she had had a romantic relationship with Batman, which led to her using some of his technology to make the fibers of her whip particularly strong. The Bat/Cat romance even provoked surprise from Alice about whether or not "heroes do that", seemingly a reference to the controversy surrounding a sex scene between the two characters on HBO Max's Harley Quinn.

This served as the first, very prominent mention of Catwoman in the larger Arrowverse, something that fans might not have expected years ago. It also (technically) means that the entirety of the Gotham City Sirens roster now exists in the universe, between the proto-Harley Quinn on Season 2 of Arrow, and Pamela Isley / Poison Ivy (Bridget Regan), who is set to be introduced later in this season of Batwoman.

"So freaking epic," series star Javicia Leslie said of the Batman villains storyline in an interview shortly after the Season 2 finale. "Like literally a lot of your epic Batman villains, we have all of their weapons and they've all been released into the river and people are going to find [them] and you're going to find the effects that these weapons have on these normal Gotham citizens and then becoming like these supervillains, and it's just going to be so much fun. I can't wait! I'm excited because we're about to start shooting season 3 and I can't wait to read the scripts and to see where it goes."

Batwoman: "How Does Your Garden Grow?" Photos Released
By JENNA ANDERSON - November 10, 2021 11:24 pm EST

0

The CW has released a batch of photos for "How Does Your Garden Grow?", the sixth episode of Batwoman's third season. As the title suggests, the episode is expected to tee up the eventual debut of Pamela Isley / Poison Ivy (Bridget Regan). This week's episode set the stage for that pretty significantly, both by revealing that Pamela and Renee Montoya (Victoria Cartagena) were college sweethearts before Ivy was experimented on and turned evil, and by heavily hinting that Mary Hamilton (Nicole Kang) has now been infected by the Poison Ivy vines. Whether or not that factors into the greenhouse setting shown in the photos remains to be seen.

Regan's Poison Ivy is described as former botany student of Gotham University described as a passionate, brilliant scientist with a mind for changing the world for the better. But her plans shifted when she was experimented on by a colleague, injected with various plant toxins which turned her into the infamous Batman villain Poison Ivy. With a formidable power coursing through her veins, Pamela used her powers to do what she thought was right, even if Batman and those closest to her disagreed with her dangerous methods. Now effectively wiped off the board for years, Batwoman and the Bat Team must prepare themselves for Poison Ivy to return with a vengeance.

"I'm super excited about the Poison Ivy storyline. There's a huge facet of it that we haven't revealed to the press that will be really fun for the audience to participate in," Batwoman showrunner Caroline Dries recently revealed to TVLine. "We do a combination of staying true to the Poison Ivy canon and what we normally do, which is put our own spin on it. It's a major story arc of the season, and we make it really really hard on Batwoman."

You can check out the synopsis for "How Does Your Garden Grow?" below, and keep scrolling to check out the photos from the episode!

"TANGLED UP IN YOU – An unnerving discovery in a garden shed sends Renee Montoya (Victoria Cartagena) rushing to Ryan (Javicia Leslie) to ensure the city is on high alert. Her terrifying theory – a Bat Trophy has entangled a new host, and her thorny ways are weaving their way through Gotham. Alice (Rachel Skarsten) is suspiciously eager to help the Bat Team (Nicole Kang, Camrus Johnson), and Sophie (Meagan Tandy) seeks vengeance for an incident involving her sister. Robert Duncan directed the episode written by Jerry Shandy and Natalie Abrams."

Batwoman airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on The CW. "How Does Your Garden Grow?" will air on November 17th.

If they do try and bring her in theyll probably just say that her and Bruce rekindled their romance and they ran off together somewhere

Wonder how long will it be before he gets a mention

He was referenced in Titans this past season, so I doubt he'll show up on Batwoman.

Batwoman sneak peek reveals Diggle's surprising connection to Jada

David Ramsey returns to Batwoman in tonight's episode.

David Ramsey's John Diggle reunites with an old friend in this exclusive sneak peek from Wednesday's Batwoman.
The last time we saw the Arrow alum in Gotham was in season 2's "Rebirth," which is where he met and forged a bond with Luke Fox (Camrus Johnson), who was recovering from his near-death experience. On his latest trip to Batman's hometown in this week's episode, titled "Meet Your Maker," Diggle reconnects with a (previously unknown) blast from his past: Jada Jet (Robin Givens), the mother of both Batwoman (Javicia Leslie) and Joker 2.0, a.k.a. Marcus (Nick Creegan).
So how exactly do Diggle and Jada know each other? Well, the above clip reveals that Diggle worked private security for her and her husband (but mostly her) before he, you know, became a superhero. In fact, Jada wants to hire him to protect her and Ryan from Marcus. While Diggle — who is in town on a mysterious other matter — has to decline the job, he doesn't leave Jada high and dry and offers to help her find a shocking cure for Marcus' psychosis.

Watch the clip above to learn about their team-up. (Also, is anyone wondering if and when Diggle will meet Batwoman, since he already knows her mom and friend/sidekick?)

Ramsey's Batwoman return arrives a week after news broke that he was attached to a potential new Arrowverse show about young heroes called Justice U, which is in development at The CW. Additionally, Ramsey has also signed an overall deal with Berlanti Productions and will direct and guest-star on multiple Arrowverse shows.
Elsewhere in tonight's Batwoman episode, Ryan, Luke, and Sophie (Meagan Tandy) venture into the woods to find the newly revived original Poison Ivy, Pamela Isley (Bridget Regan). Hopefully, they beat Mary (Nicole Kang), who is also searching for her maker, to the punch.
Batwoman airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on The CW.

I watch every episode. I would love to see her doing more Batwoman stuff and more content for Beating (hate that name). Alice is a well written character. She carried the show while developing the Black Batwoman... and the Asian actress too.

But like I said I watch every episode
