I'm still processing it, but some quick thoughts...

I don't know about an Oscar, but Angela Bassett is going to win awards. She's the MVP here. All the actors delivered.

Given all the pressure she was under and the various self-inflicted wounds, Letitia Wright rises to the occasion as the lead.

Namor isn't Killmonger 2.0. He's a different and more dangerous antagonist.

There are a few unnecessary characters and subplots, and it's not who you might think.

The Production Design, Costumes, and Score might be even better this time around.

Didn't have any problem with the action.

Given the circumstances, I don't think anyone could have done a better job. Coogler made choices that some won't agree with, but it works for the story. It's a fitting tribute to Chadwick Boseman and T'Challa. Best MCU film I've seen in a while.

The score I don't think is better. I have to see it again in Dolby to make sure.

I agree with everything here. Angela Bassett did her thing. I was even saying Queen mother.

I'm going to wait til it hits Disney+ but does the movie say how T'Challa dies or say nothing about it.....

I'm hoping I could see it next month when I go on vacation.

Saw it today...more than a third of it was a memorial to Chadwick. The action was OK but nothing really memorable. Not sure if there will be a sequel. Also, the actresses all looked great...Black is Beautiful! Angela could get it but Lupita.... :inlove:

I still don't get it. Chadwick's public memorial was on Youtube. Why did it need to be intertwined with T'Challa's dying?

I love watching movies in Dolby Cinema/Vision
Better sound than IMAX
Better picture/colors than IMAX
Better more comfortable leather seats that recline

I usually just pick a seat closer to the screen
Either right behind the handicap spots
Or right in front of the handicap spots

:shades::shades::shades:

Top Gun could only be watched in Dolby..to hear the engines on the flight deck...i knew then..this is what Dolby is made for..

It's not always a given in media that when an actor dies, his character does too. In cases when it does happen, it's usually older actors who are part of a large cast and not central characters. Example: Coach from 'Cheers', Mr.Hooper from 'Sesame Street', Jock Ewing from 'Dallas' and older soap actors.. T'Challa dying did not need to be the ONLY way for T'Challa not to be in BP2.

Pretty good movie. The CIA sub-plot wasn't really needed, but I guess they needed to squeeze some white folks in there.

Maybe I missed the explanation, but was Namor's people immortal on the bridge, but was killed off in the final battle?
The CIA shit is for the larger MCU. As much as the Black panther films feel like they are not the same as the other movies, they still are and they need connective tissue… and for those who know the new director of the CIA is going to be kind of a big deal

You got the Black Panther in your avatar but you aint feeling shit? Wow!

I thought the first Black Panther was a little overrated, It might be because I'm not a big Michael B Jordan fan.

I liked this more :dunno:

My guess how they would handle this was correct for the most part also.

My only complaint was one of the characters. I felt she was doing too much, and it bordered on annoying for me.

I wasn't emotional, but I see how others might be. It was a nice tribute though.
