Dude had the ILL album!!

I disagree. his last album Airtight's Revenge is a highly slept on classic

 Wasn't Mica yet another in a long line of Prince's female proteges who never found success once he moved on to the next creative phase? ... Vanity, Sheila E., Appollonia, Nona Gaye, etc.

I suppose she needed better material but, but she got the pipes.

Shyheim's career was lackluster at best but dude was nice:

Always thought Psychodrama was going to blow up; they never really made it out of Chicago though:

On a serious note I always thought Van Hunt should be a lot more popular than he is... never understood why he never blew

I think his album was too Atl for mainstream black taste and white radio didn't play his single. But this and Citizen Cope first cd had me smashing all sorts of white chicks right out of college.

Saigon- Had it all.Flow, good production behind him and was versatile in his topics.I have no idea why he couldn't blow.

Christion- RnB group.Made good songs and had JayZ behind them.

The Firm- Why couldn't they blow? Makes no sense whatsoever.

AZ- Dude had flow and made decent songs.

Luniz- Had a MONSTER single and had a good flow for the West Coast.Made some entertaining songs.

Tha Dawg Pound- I bumped the hell out of that album.I think it went Plat a few times. Then they simply didnt make another one for whatever reason.

OJ Da Juice Man- Big single and I was expecting him to mature and show more growth as an artist. He is a very intelligent dude and expected him to start spitting about the economy and politics.

This girl was so fuck'n soulful and unique:smh:

Canibus looked like he was about to change the game but he had issues.

That single he put out about motherhood had everybody like  :hmm:
He never recovered.

Word on the streets was that Big L was about to sign to the ROC but that spot went to Camron after he got murdered.
I always wonder what would have happened.

Those first couple of verses from Cappa had me feindin for his album. Me and my boy were the first (and only) people in the store looking for The Pillage.

Oe listen killed all of his hype. Dude is still nice but I thought he would blow like Method Man or how Ghostface ALMOST blew up a few years ago.

Here is one from the old school.

Charlie Brown was always looked at the dude that would go solo and blow, but Busta just came from out of no where and shut him down.

Ever hear the old rumor that Jay-Z had Big L killed because L outshined him on a freestyle? I think it was the one called "Da Graveyard".

:hmm::lol:

That's one I did not hear.
If he would have had anybody killed it would have been Cam.

Jay-Z also hooked Canibus up with Wycleff.
Bus should have had Jay-Z killed for that...lol

If anything I thought that Van Hunt's 2nd CD was the most mainstream one he dropped.

hey dont blame the Haitian for that one:hmm:

dude COULD NOT CRAFT A SONG...

Wyclef tried and we got that "fallopian tube/sperm" song:hmm:

the closest comparison to Can would be Keith Murray and he actually could vary flows and craft songs...he could show personality with his style (unlike Canibus)

and that Buckingham Palace joint the Wyclef produced was outstanding...

On top of all that, I beat your homeless ass down
Heard that convicted rapist on the record too
Fresh out of jail, ass cheeks still black and blue
Tell me bout the things ear biter taught you
How to bust a nut or two? (Yeah that's butta boo)

:itsawrap:
