Despite the movie once again being removed from Marvel Studios' slate, a new rumor is claiming that we will still see the Blade reboot... eventually.

They were actually trying to skip OVER the white man and give Blade his own film.

its really insane, marvel did a show based on a witch who was a side character in a side characters story just cus she had a song that was popular on the internet for a week. Did it HELLA quick, IMMEDIATELY, but cant, wont and keep canceling a Blade movie. Im really baffled.

All Marvel/Disney had to do was make a Blade movie with BOTH Mahershala Ali AND Wesley Snipes... with Wesley "handing the torch" to Mahershala by the time the final credits rolled.
The concept is not that hard to understand.
Everybody WINS.
And just hire Kevin Grevioux to write the script and stop bullshitting with all these other writers who don't have a clue.
He's the guy who created the whole "Underworld" movie franchise!!! That's all they needed to GET STARTED...

- The first Ant-Man movie had a production budget of $130 million.
- The first Doctor Strange movie had a budget of $165 million.
- But a new Blade movie doesn't even need that much.
- About $100 million should get it done, at the bare minimum.

This what i been saying I always heard this. Goyer consistent (and even this article is 4 years old). He never denied Wesley was being an asshole. Wesley never denied it completely either. But the story been exaggerated.
Notice Goyer NEVER blamed Wesley solely or said it was all his fault or everyone ELSE was blameless, there was a whole LOT of fuckery going on.
Patton want to stay butt hurt? Its his right. Wesley should/could have been nicer to everyone. But it BE LIKE THAT SOMETIMES.
And Patton acting like he aint NEVER worked with a difficult actor EESPECIALLY WHITE one before

I thought it was interesting that Snipes made a point to highlight the fact he had all this power as an executive producer. I was like does this dude not realize he's basically saying it's totally HIS fault the movie turned out so shitty?

The movie got hijacked by higher ups.
Nobody had any power at that point. So everybody that had something to say was difficult.
I posted a quote from Snipes years later disputing patton's claims. He made it a point to highlight all this power he had over how the movie was to made.
Personally, I have no doubt this was a studio fuck up because it was clear the studio was more interested in doing a spin-off than making a really good final blade movie. However, what I didn't know was that Snipes didn't want to do Blade 3 in the first place. It kind of explains why the studio tried so hard to make Blade a secondary character in his own movie.

I mean, they tried recasting before. During the negotiations for Blade 3 they asked me if I’d consider doing the role again, but I was like nah. So, the agency I was with told me that [the studio] was going to give me ‘til Wednesday to make a decision or they were going to move on. And I was like, what? We just did two movies and made money for everybody and you’re saying to me that if I don’t want to do the third one, you’ll make it without me and find somebody else? And I was like, ‘OK, let them give it to somebody else, because we had already decided we didn’t want to do it anyway.’ We were already thinking about focusing on dramatic pieces at that time. But you know how that all turned out in the end.
Well, maybe I don’t. This could be a good opportunity for you to address some of the gossip and legendary anecdotes surrounding the production of Blade: Trinity.
