Ukrainian resistance forces poisoned 17 Russian military officers at a celebration in the southern Ukrainian port of Mariupol, according to an advisor to the mayor of the city.

Ukrainian partisans used cyanide and pesticides during a Sunday Russian Navy Day event to poison the Russian military service members, killing two, Petro Andriushchenko said on Telegram.

The other 15 were admitted to the hospital in serious condition, he said.

“Tonight, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, using two crewless boats, attempted to attack the Novorossiysk naval base,” a source in the ministry told the TASS news agency, referring to the Black Sea installation in southern Russia. “In the course of repelling the attack, crewless boats were visually detected and destroyed by fire from the standard weapons of Russian ships guarding the outer raid of the naval base.”

Maybe someone should tell those racist fucks that if you use a hard "g" to say something.... there's two of them instead of hiding behind their racist pronunciation of it

.

 They know exactly what they are doing though which is why they are holding back laughs. The whole situation is funny to them given the actual facts behind the "crisis"...

At the very end of July, Ukrainian forces liberated Staromaiorske, a tiny village in southeastern Ukraine. It wasn’t a full breakthrough — at least not yet. But it was a real victory in Ukraine’s otherwise lackluster weeks-old counteroffensive.

Ukraine had tried to tamp down expectations about the counteroffensive long before it had begun. But Kyiv’s past successes and Moscow’s past failures, the deliveries of new advanced Western weapons, and a fresh crop of Western-trained Ukrainian recruits all had a lot of folks very hyped — maybe overly so — about what Kyiv could achieve.

This, despite sober analysis from plenty of observers who said this counteroffensive would more likely be a slog, especially given the impressive, heavily mined Russian fortifications along a vast front line. Experts were also uncertain how well Ukrainian troops would be able to maneuver with advanced weapons, like main battle tanks, and whether they could overcome supply and logistics challenges.

The good news is that, weeks into a counteroffensive, we have some clearer answers to those questions. The bad news is those answers were not great, if you’re Ukraine or its backers. Russian fortifications are as formidable as advertised. Western equipment can withstand a lot, but vast minefields are vast minefields, and Kyiv and its newly trained forces have largely failed at conducting combined arms operations on a large scale — that is, coordinating troops and all this different weaponry, like armored vehicles and artillery, to blitz through Russian lines. Kyiv has also suffered high casualties in its attempts to do so.

After watching Ukraine track down and kill Russian military commanders, the US and its allies are training to avoid the same fate

During a sprawling exercise known as Talisman Sabre in Australia last month, US and Australian soldiers worked on methods to disguise their command posts and move them quickly if found out.

"Examples from the conflict in Ukraine have shown that large and static footprints can be targeted and destroyed within minutes of enemy fires unmasking themselves," Australian army Col. Benjamin McLennan said in a press release.

Russia's game plan is clear...outlast the enemy...no matter how many losses in men and equipment...hold the ground you've gained and call it victory.....Ukraine may have to negotiate for a end.....
