Russia’s war machine is running on fumes as industry warns of bankruptcies and the Kremlin gets old tanks from movie studio

More evidence is piling up that Russia's military-industrial complex is nearing the brink after nearly three years of fighting in Ukraine. The war in Ukraine is draining Russia's inventory of weapons faster than replacements can be built, while industries critical to the defense sector warn on high interest rates..

Donald Trump says Vladimir Putin wants a meeting as soon as possible about the war with Ukraine

President-elect Donald Trump said Sunday Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his interest in a meeting regarding the war with Ukraine.

"President Putin said that he wants to meet with me as soon as possible," Trump said during his remarks at Turning Point's America Fest convention. "So we have to wait for this, but we have to end that war. That war is horrible, horrible."

Trump, who is set to return to the White House in January, previously said on the campaign trail that if elected, he could end the war "in 24 hours." The president-elect recently criticized the policy change by President Joe Biden that allowed Ukraine to use U.S.-supplied weapons to strike inside Russian territory.

The president-elect also recently said Ukraine will "possibly" receive less military aid once he takes office. Ukraine is heavily reliant on its international partners for military, financial and humanitarian aid that enables it to continue functioning as a state, and fighting Russia after almost three years of war.

"The number of soldiers being killed..." Trump said Sunday. "It's a flat plane, and the bullets are going and there's powerful bullets, powerful guns, and the only thing that's going to stop them is a human body."

Earlier this month, Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Paris along with French President Emmanuel Macron ahead of the reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral. After the meeting, Trump called for an "immediate ceasefire."

The other Europeans nations know Russia won’t speak seriously with Ukraine because they technically don’t have a leader

“Lavrov claims that France "several times through closed channels approached Russia with a proposal to help establish a dialogue on Ukraine without the participation of Kyiv."

Paris and Kyiv did not confirm this. At the same time, President Macron did not rule out his communication with Putin earlier.

Earlier, German Chancellor Scholz called the Kremlin. Zelensky criticized him for this. German media write that the head of Germany is nevertheless going to Moscow (Scholz did not confirm this) .”

Ukraine's Zelenskiy: North Koreans suffering battlefield losses, unprotected by Russian forces

"Their losses are significant, very significant. We see that neither the Russian military nor their North Korean overseers have any interest in ensuring the survival of these North Koreans," he said. "Everything is set up so that it is impossible for us to capture them. There are instances in which they are executed by their own forces. Russians send them into assaults with minimal protection."

Is this statement to cover the fact that there aren't any North Korean troops in the Kursk region. Not seen one shred of evidence of this.

Man in all honesty, Putin probably won’t need help with troops until like 2026/2027. That’s if they continue in the current approach.

If they reduce pressure in a couple or areas and move troops, Korea troops won’t be needed.

Now the idea of 3000k troops really ain’t nothing, if we’re be true.
I can see the benefits for Lil Kim. He would have combat trained troops, getting seat time is priceless

What I don't like is the double standards going on with the media.

Reports of North Korean troops in Russia gets wall to wall newspaper coverage.

Yet no reports of the huge number of Polish soldiers in Ukraine. With the Storm Shadows, Taurus and ATACMS missile, you do need German, British and US troops to use and maintain.

Yeah I've seen a few unusual army deaths recently here in the UK. Wondered if any of them were in Ukraine by any chance.

Russian foreign minister blasts Ukraine peace deal reportedly floated by Trump's team: 'Not happy'

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov made the comments during an interview with TASS, a state-run Russian news agency, on Monday. "We are not happy, of course, with the proposals made by members of the Trump team to postpone Ukraine’s admission to NATO for 20 years and to station British and European peacekeeping forces in Ukraine," the foreign minister said, though that deal has not been announced by any American officials.

This was one of the major cities that folks said wasn’t gonna be captured….

Since them Russians are far from it….

The time it took them to capture them one city was long but them since have changed their tactics and started moving at a blazing speed.

Also these next cities won’t look like this.
They developed this outflanking maneuver, that focus on circling and cutting off supply route.
Reducing cities to nothing is 2022/2023 and early 24.
How it’s keeping cities in tack, so people can return once the Ukrainians have left and everyone is examined.

Are all back in working order? Time to discuss an important issue. There is still an acute shortage of smoothbore weapons at the front (the most suitable are self-loading semiautomatics, such as Veprey, MP and Saiga)
This issue has been raised more than once, the right steps have been taken (transfer of weapons surrendered by citizens to the troops), but the fact remains a fact.

There aren't enough barrels even for groups delivering and evacuating them. Sometimes a group doesn't even have one smoothbore, but several are needed.
As a result, the guys drag their civilian guns to the front line. It reaches the point of absurdity. The soldier has his own gun in his hands and he also buys the cartridges for it at his own expense. Yes, it all depends on the unit, but such cases are not isolated.

Why is it important to solve the issue with smoothbore guns now? The enemy ordered a huge number of fiber optic reels from China (nothing personal, just business, huh comrades from the PRC?).

Very soon, Ukrainian fiber-optic drones will become a mass phenomenon on the front. They fly slower, and maneuver more smoothly. Electronic warfare is useless against them, but it is easier to shoot them down with small arms. I do not think that saturating the front with 12-gauge barrels and cartridges is a big problem for the state.
The Ministry of Defense and the Russian National Guard need to purchase batches from factories and immediately place them as regular units in each unit.
How long can this trickle down through volunteers
