They didn't cancel or choose not to air his most recent project (Loki), because it was already in the can and (by appearances) was part of a complete story. The version(s) of him in that story could be considered a complete arc.
The rumor mill for the past year or so has been that Marvel is reconsidering options for Kang as a long term villain, mainly as a response to this whole situation. And while I get having a contingency, I don't see them "reviewing options" much longer before a few future plans have to be cemented.
So, even in the best case scenario, their plans to use Majors as the foundational antagonist of the next phase(s) is probably done. If he's found not guilty, then he'll probably have work with a few more appearances. But I can't imagine the Disney money machine gambling on whether or not something else comes out about him, even though others have gotten just as much if not more leeway/forgiveness in the past.
