I will say this. Women rights, LGBTQ rights, black folks rights...did I leave anyone out??? Bamas ain't about to go back to full on oppression. This won't end well.

This is what pissed me off about Obama. He was weak as shit from the Russian meddling in our elections to the Merrick Garland appointment to Universal Healthcare for all. He was weak and wanted to cross the isle and work with those fucks. He had a majority in both House in his first two years and could've rammed shit through, but no, he wanted to work with Moscow Mitch and his croonies when they where the minority. This don't make any sense. I am glad I don't have children. I have no skin in the fight.

He didn't have a super majority. In the Senate we had 58 dems, and 2 independents. Lieberman was trash. In the house blue dog dems were showing their ass.

Damn it! Why did you have to bring up Lieberman's punk ass. Shit! I hated that muthfucka and that's why I wasn't fucking wit Bernie Sanders (independent). I wasn't trying to hear shit he was saying because of the bullshit Lieberman was pulling back then.

Both parties the same....voting doesn't matter....third party...... Face palm.

This is gonna motivate both sides though...just hope it motivates the liberal side more....cause with her replacement....if orangeman gets to nominate...even Roberts voting with the liberals once in a while won't help.

Imagine having orangeman, Barr and a lopsided court all at once from 2021 their Jan 2025.

I guess y'all still not voting, huh?

that should be the first constitional amendment. 15-20 year term limits, stacked so each president gets to nominate an equal number

I had a lawyer friend try to explain some bullshit about if they rotated them every 10-20 years then it would change the consistancy of the ruling in the country. I was like...GOOD! Better than a stack deck for life!

It's also crazy how someone can be appointed to a lifetime position so easily. Kava has no business in such a position. Yet' here we are!!

This is one of the most pathetic threads I've ever seen on here.

Bunch of grown men shedding tears - not out of reverence to the deceased, but politics.

Spouting hyperbolic fear mongering bullshit.

There are a lot of tight races with Republican senators Collins is down 10 points so she has 1 foot out the door already. Democrats we have to find a way we just got to we got 1 1/2 months to do it
No even if they lose the Senate, and the presidency, they can put someone in there
before January 2020

It has everything to do with what you said. You're insinuating that because we made it through the middle Atlantic slave trade that you can make it through anything. Well, my friend, those genetics have been diluted because just about everyone whose folks have been here since slavery has some Caucasian in them somewhere or non-African blood in them.

no my friend YOUR genetics have been diluted
i'm good over here, no crying or no fear
I'm dealing on a higher plane than politics
good day

No matter how bad things look, some good things can come out of every bad situation. In the event Trump and McConnell try to push this through before the election, it will not be good for any of those fragile Republican senators who are already looking to defeat, like Collins in Maine, Ermst in Iowa, McSally in Arizona, Gardner in Colorado, and maybe a couple more, even Lindsay Graham. Any of them falling in line behind Trump and McConnell before the election will probably nail their coffins for good, which will give us the Senate. Second, if Trump and McConnell bully their way through this, combined with what they've already done with the pandemic, I can see this being the last hurrah for Republicans for the next generation, if not longer. Georgia, Texas, and possibly Florida will soon be fading from consistently red to consistently blue as the demographics change, which will take away Republican power for years. Also, with the Supreme Court, you can always be pleasantly surprised. Earl Warren, Harry Blackmun, and William Brennan were three of the most liberal justices ever, and helped vote in more civil rights law than any court in history. Yet, they were all appointed by conservative Republican presidents, and were expected to follow the conservative line on the court. Neither of them ever did. Neil Gorsuch has already surprised us this year, so who knows what's in the future. The next few months will be very interesting. We're all living through some amazing, monumental days my friends!!!
