Good Times ............................again Parque Illeras was lit but the clubs in that area not so much ( Sky park, Gustos, Glow)
Was it better to take US cash or convert? I'm thinking of taking dollar bills for various tips instead of trying to do the conversions

I don't take cash, I use a Charles Schwab Debit card I transfer whatever Money I'm taking on my trip from my regular bank then use the ATM in Colombia I get best rate just make sure in the "WITHDRAWAL" process "TO DECLINE THE CONVERSION" and you will be good any ATM fees you incur will be returned to you at the end of the month.

Thats the ticket...

I use Schwab, Capital One Debit (no international transaction fees), and Sofi. I only use them for travel, and keep balances under 1500 USD on them. I load them up when the balance gets low. I left my Schwab card in am ATM last month, but it was low balance, and I always use backup cards. All my groceries and deliveries are Rappi with international credit card (no fees).

I only carry about 400 dollars(just for emergency), and stay in different cities for 2 weeks to 2 months at a time.

You can't ever carry or have large amounts of cash in your spot. Taxi drivers, neighbors, AirBNB hosts, girls, security guards, maids, etc... Can't be trusted.

I never stay near heavy tourist areas, unless its a new city I am visiting in Colombia, so I move different.

I use Capital One cards, Venture and Quicksilver have no international fees. Their Savor card is good too.

I use Bank of America Travel Rewards and Sofi too, no international fees.

Wells Fargo Autograph has no fee, or Chase Sapphire Preferred.

You got a crush on this deer legged woman

She has a great personality, talks funny, i like her videos too.

I am currently in Cali. Enjoying the food, women, and weather, but its rained quite a bit the last few days. Loving normal prices, no gringo caused gentrification, and no gringo foot traffic. More authentic travel experience, as usual.

I will probably be in Medellin sometime next week, far away from El Poblado/Parque as possible, as usual.
