Coronavirus deaths just doubled in 2 days....I actually hope your opinion of coronavirus is correct...the numbers and the reports from people on the frontline say different
So what does that mean? At least 1 million cases? Possibly 5 million or more? How long do you think it's really been here spreading. Like I said in another thread, something wicked passed through the house in early march and completely knocked the ol' lady on her ass. She had the flu and pneumonia last year, and said even then she didn't feel this weak and achy. At that point, weren't any confirmed cases in Ohio and Corona wasn't really a thought for us.
What they really going to wish is that they took better care of themselves. I'd guess the U.S. is the fattest country to get this shit. Self-imposed diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension. Want doctors and nurses to work miracles.
Media is really going to try to run with the outliers, but I bet most deaths going to be old people who Father Time just got the best of or people who didn't take care of themselves.
It's not going to be popular to blame the varying death rates in countries to how the populations care for themselves. Folks have to remember those who have better immune systems ain't going to be flooding the hospitals and using valuable resources. Italy has universal care and got obliterated.

It's been obvious since day 1 they don't have large scale testing... The governor of NYC clearly has stated NYC has tested two to 3 times more than the 2nd most tested state cali... It's why NYC numbers look so high compared to every1'else.. Also cause population numbers and way people interact.. The numbers will always be off.. Just imagine if twice or hell 4 times the amount had it or have it.. That means the chances of you dying decreases more if you found out more people had it and didn't die

I hate to say this but most people who are on drugs I’m not going to stop because of this virus. Actually they may do a little more drugs because of this virus.

Your above point is that only 125,000 people are infected. But with exponential growth, it means 1.250,000 people will have it in mid April, and 12.500,000 people will have it by the end of the month. It just gets worse from there.

I remember when this s hit first kicked off.. This non Harvard dude whose typing to you right now questioned should we stop all packages from asia, aren't virus ability to stay on surfaces pretty long.. All the experts , guys with fancy degrees, and lab coats said not to worry these things shouldn't last long on surfaces... Boyyyyyyy was those experts wrong... I tend to use my ability to question certain things that don't make sense to me instead of putting my full trust in experts.. It's how I have survived this long on earth.. It means that the OP's supposition is that all Americans would be infected resulting in 1% of the population dying.
There is no science to support that. Worse case scenarios saw 50% infection rates.
Real cases show <1% rates in both Italy and China.
Now that scientists have had time to look at this for 3 months they've found that covid 19 is dangerous as hell, but isnt as infectious as measles and aint as deadly as ebola.
It is mostly transmitted through contact.
And AGAIN, more than 85% of the infected range from having mild symptoms to being asymptomatic.
Covid 19 is here to stay, routine treatment is months away and a vaccine is a year to years away.

Every scientist has said that the virus will continue to infect people until either we develop a vaccine or we develop herd immunity (which happens when between 50-75% of the planet gets the disease).
No scientist, to my knowledge has ever said, nor has given any reason to think that it will stop infecting people when it reaches 1%.
All what death? How much has the death rate increased in the world since corona hit? How many people that died were on course to die shortly anyways? Majority of people who died here were already sick. People in nursing homes, even hospice. But the NEWS will blame everything on the virus. How the fuck are you in hospice about to die in a few weeks, catch corona and check out early, then given a cause of death due to the virus? Nevermind that cancer, heart failure, alzheimer's, high blood pressure, severe diabetes, or what ever else you had going on. The news talk about it, the President talks about it, people in lab coats, so it must be bad... With all due respect, you like many millions of others thinking about it wrong. First, there is and will not be a cure. Will there be ways to treat and provide resistance? Yes. Cure? no.
Second, the idea behind social distancing is to slow or stop the spread. Again slow or stop the spread. Why? Because most of us will be able to naturally develop antibodies that will prevent spreading the virus. The problem is, people are continuously spreading the virus before our bodies natural defences can act. Basically, social distancing allows three things to happen.
1. Some people with it will die, therefore they cant spread it.
2. Some people with it will naturally develop antibodies, therefore they cant spread it.
3. Some people wont get it, therefore they cant spread it.
Very logical concept. But, extremely difficult to inact.
