At the end of the game I was wondering why, Deion was telling his players to stop shaking hands and head to the locker…

Well here’s why

From this response, it is obvious you don’t follow recruiting. Top recruits have either gave a verbal commitment or will very soon. They are not choosing Colorado.

This is very concerning because it is extremely difficult to flip a player. By mid October you need to have 70% of your recruits already verbally committed. This allows a team to be able to put a full court press on the elite athletes that are undecided
Most people don't follow recruiting. You are 100 pct correct but it will fall on deaf ears to the casual fan...

Those were obviously jokes lol.

But the curse could be real. After Golden State went up 3-1 against the Cavs. I created a post talking major Shit to Lebron and cav fans. I quietly deleted it

Largebills probably still mad me
Man keep doing what you do. They may be jokes to you (now) but I’m profiting off them shits.

Now if I can only crack the code when you and Dr. Truth provide your opposing picks then I’d be onto something.

In the back of my mind, I wonder if Prime took recruiting seriously and may have thought it was easier than what he anticipated

I don’t believe Prime be on the recruiting trail hard like some other coaches

I think (and I could be wrong) that he is relying on his celebrity to attract recruits. That whole "I ain't hard to find" campaign is a cool sound bite but teams like GA, Ohio State, FSU, Miami etc are in these kids ears every day and devoting countless resources to attract these kids. Add the fact that due to this transfer rule ( https://www.espn.com/college-sports...clears-last-step-starts-2021-22-academic-year ) will limit his ability to keep flipping his roster via the portal. After 1 transfer, kids are not immediately available to play anymore....Tez Jackson went through hell getting cleared for UNC and Darrell Jackson still is ineligible for FSU.

You maybe correct because I am surprised at the lack of movement. I was fearful of him coming to FSU because of possibly being a recruiting monster.

Like you said he may be using his celebrity and he could finish strong. Man that transfer rule was a big game changer. If you fail when flipping your roster you are stuck with the kids

I personally think that he is dumping Colorado as soon as Shedeur and Hunter graduate. There is a reason that he sidestepped questions about a long term contract extension.

The Buff should cruise against Stanford. Stanford Defense is ranked 120th nationally and the offense is ranked 100th nationally

The buffdefense coaching staff does great at making halftime adjustments.

The number of scores giving up over the second halves are greatly reduced

Colorado picks up commitment from 2024 edge rusher Amontrae Bradford

Colorado likely isn’t going to be losing the battle in the trenches for much longer.
With three defensive linemen already committed to the Buffs’ 2024 class, including four-star Brandon Davis-Swain, head coach Deion Sanders gained his first true edge rusher on Monday in Amontrae Bradford.

Bradford is a three-star recruit and the No. 42 edge rusher in the 2024 class, per the 247Sports Composite. On3, however, tabs the Georgia prospect as a four-star prospect.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Bradford took an official visit to Boulder last month for Colorado’s home game against Colorado State.
Bradford, who was recruited by CU defensive ends coach Nick Williams, has hopes of becoming a first-round NFL draft pick.
“I plan on being the first edge they put in the first round in a while,” Bradford told 247Sports. “The first edge Deion puts in the league. First edge they put in the league as a whole, that’s what I see myself doing.”

Bradford is officially Colorado’s ninth 2024 commit.

1st….3 weeks ago Colorado Class rank was 125. 2 weeks ago it was 82 now it’s 75 they have 4 and 5 star recruits coming every week. It’s not that serious. I’m sure these professionals know a little more about recruiting than you Turd

2nd… Deion isn’t looking for a bunch of 17-18 kids who are going to sit for 2 years. Deion will utilize the transfer portal which he has done masterfully and has all these White coaches shitting their pants. Deion wants players ready to play now….Why? Because anyone with a brain knows he’s most likely out in 2 years once Shedeur is drafted, off to coach a NFL team

Go to sleep

Recruiting Freshman is not as important to build a team as it used to be. All of the top 5 QBs in FBS this year were transfers. Instead of gambling on Freshmen, Coach Prime can pick up proven players in the portal. The current team was built almost completely on transfers. This was off Coach Prime’s popularity alone because the team was 1-11 and he was unproven in leading a Power 5 program. Now transfers get to consider the popularity of the Buffaloes, the fact that they are a much better team, and the potential. The prospect of transferring to Colorado this next year is much more attractive than it was this year.
Imagine trying to recruit someone to a 1-11 team with an HBCU QB who is the coach’s son and 2 unremarkable WRs from UCF. This year he is recruiting with a Heisman candidate QB, a Heisman candidate WR/DB, multiple conference leading WRs, a winning record, record breaking attendance, prior familiarity with the program, and one of the most covered teams in media. He already has a good amount of starters coming back too.

Yep….

I mean everyone ain’t gonna be feeling Coach Prime… but he’s doing his part. Dude getting looks from players who probably never heard of Colorado.
Dude haven’t even been hired for year yet…

He won't have the flexibility to cut 50 players off his squad again as he did last year (plus the 25 average recruits that he brought in). Teams have an 85 player scholarship limit per year. The NCAA enacted a 1 time transfer availability rule which will limit player movement. Recruiting is and always will be the life blood of college football. He won't be able to compete with the elite programs (top 20 types) simply relying on the transfer portal. Shedeur wasn't your typical HBCU player, he was a 4 star recruited by UGA and other top P5 squads.

Think about what you just stated? Let’s look at some facts. The team that went 1-11 at Colorado ranked 131st nationally in Total defense.

This year the defense is all portal transfers and the defense ranks 127th nationally. So the reality is the Buffs gained nothing from the portal on defense

There just are not a lot of blue chip players in the portal

So far that does not appear to be true. Unless something changes quickly, Colorado is getting murdered on the recruiting trail.

Most portal players are kids who could not get playing time at their school. There are not many elite players that played at small schools who are ready to make a difference

The NCCA allows double transfer but it might take your first born. I think a player just got cleared by the NCAA, yay giving Colorado fans some hope that Tyler Brown will be cleared.

Man think about this I think the 1-11 team had like 9 sacks, 5 picks and 5 fumble recoveries

We was first in takeaways at one point… so I’m sure we in the top 15…

That’s a completely different situation with a bunch of new comers.

from the ESPN article posted above:
Now, if an athlete has already use a one-time exception for a transfer as an undergraduate, the athlete is not automatically eligible as a graduate transfer. Athletes can still apply for a waiver to become eligible under certain circumstances
from the NCAA: https://www.ncaa.com/news/ncaa/arti...gages in professional athletics opportunities.

The board opted not to enact a new exception to the transfer rules that would allow student-athletes to transfer multiple times and be immediately eligible if they meet progress-toward-degree requirements at their new school. However, the board remains committed to continuing to study the impact of the new transfer rules in both the short and long term.

The NCAA (which is slowly losing relevance as a governing body) is being real asshole-ish and doing everything in their power to stop student-athletes from transferring multiple times...

The defense is ranked 127th on Defense so the takeaway stat becomes useless

Yes you can double transfer but you will have to sit out a year

Yup… they wasn’t playing with folks this year… they shut down plenty of players

But, like I said it might cost you your first born but there’s hope

Tez was cleared recently even tho it was his 2nd time

“In an abrupt reversal of a ruling it made earlier this season, the NCAA said Thursday that Walker would be immediately eligible to play for the Tar Heels as soon as this weekend against Syracuse. Walker initially was ruled ineligible for the 2023 season by the NCAA as a two-time undergraduate transfer.”

You are comparing 6 games against 3 ranked opponents to a whole college football season. Did Colorado play 3 nationally ranked teams last season? What were their defensive statistics from those 3 games?
