With postseason college football awards being handed out on a near-daily basis and the Heisman Trophy going to Jayden Daniels this past Saturday, the Associated Press released its 2023 All-American teams on Monday.

Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter was named to the First Team as an all-purpose player. Hunter was also named First-Team All-Pac-12 on defense.

The Pac-12 Conference had three other players on the First Team: center Jackson Powers-Johnson (Oregon) wide receiver Rome Odunze (Washington) and edge rusher Laiatu Latu (UCLA).

Michael Penix Jr., the Huskies’ QB, was named to the Second Team, and Oregon QB Bo Nix was named to the Third Team.

Hunter looks to be an early Heisman Trophy contender next season, and his numbers would’ve been even better if he didn’t get injured.

Early I mentioned that the Aaron Butler decommit was because of communication, Below is his father talking about it. This has been a known issue with the Buffs.

I don’t want to say the there is no communication but other schools reach out consistently and the Buffs has dropped the ball in that respect

Bring in Byron Leftwich to level up the QB skills.

I’ve seen his name mentioned…

Man just think, they getting these lineman without a damn offensive coordinator.
The scheme of the offensive is unknown, all these players know:
- there’s opportunities to play
- the spotlight will be there
- blocking for an elite qb
- 3 solid running backs on the roster

I don’t think he would be a good fit. My concern would be if his playbook was simplistic enough for the college game. Also can he give you at least 3 seasons

I like the name and wouldn’t be mad but would he be more than a one year rental?

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders gets NIL elective course named after him

Not only has Deion Sanders made a splash on the field at the University of Colorado, now he's got an NIL course named after him

The University of Colorado will soon be offering a course named after Deion Sanders
Not only has Deion Sanders made a splash on the field at the University of Colorado, now he's got an NIL course named after him

Since arriving in Boulder last December, Colorado football coach Deion Sanders has made a splash the size of a tidal wave. Not only did Coach Prime turn the Colorado Buffaloes into the talk of the college football world in the first month of the season, but he's somehow seen his celebrity status rise to unprecedented heights. Whether it was starring in an Aflac commercial with Nick Saban or playing a role in Madden 24, to being parodied on Saturday Night Live, to being named Sports Illustrated's Sportsperson of the Year for 2023, Deion Sanders' off-field impact continues to grow. And nowhere has that become more apparent than in Boulder.

Moving forward, students at the University of Colorado will be able to take a course named after Coach Prime himself, according to a tweet from Jimmie Searfoss of The Bold CU and 247 Sports.

In the rapidly ever-changing college sports landscape, having a course devoted to learning about the ins and outs of NIL seems like a necessity at every Division I school. Young athletes should know how to “manage their celebrity, when to best speak into their profit center, advocate for worthy causes, coordinate with sports agents and how to interact with Journalists and the media.” And if there were an individual who has embodied this changing landscape, it's Deion Sanders, a tireless advocate for the advancement of college athletes and someone who has long benefitted from his own NIL.

One final bonus point: the Tuesday/Thursday from 5-6:15 pm time slot for a course was one of my absolute favorites when I was at Florida Gulf Coast University, and even if I never had to worry about how to utilize my own Name, Image and Likeness, this is a course I would've tried my best to take.

Colorado Coach Calls Out College Football Transfer For Posting Fake Offers

Author:

Zach McKinnell9 hours ago
Former Jackson State offensive lineman Amari Ward announced his commitment to Colorado on Dec. 4. It was one of multiple notable offensive line additions for the Buffaloes, but it looks like Ward will not be attending Colorado next season.

Colorado assistant coach Andrew Zimmer responded to an On3 graphic, which included Ward with other offensive line commits, and announced that Ward was never officially offered a scholarship to Colorado.

"Amari Ward is not coming to CU as a recruit. No one on our staff has talked to him. In fact, this is the second year he has posted a fake offer from us," Zimmer posted on social media.

Ward signed with Jackson State out of Lake Wales High School in the class of 2022. He did not see any action during the 2022 season with the Tigers and announced his transfer after head coach Deion Sandersaccepted the head coaching job at Colorado.

The 6-foot-4, 310-pound offensive lineman was denied admission to Coloraod due to poor academic performance. It was later reported he left Jackson State due to external factors that caused his poor academic performance.

Not sure. He hasn't found employment in the nfl ranks or we don't know if he's still interested or was actively looking. He's played the college football game at a high level and been in the Heisman candidate. I'm sure that experience combined with his NFL experience is greater than the downside that his one year rental would bring.

Only reason his name comes up is, the times he was in Boulder.

I’m be 100% honest I felt the idea of Brett Barlone would be excellent.
He was the OC the last two year in Jackson before they switched.

Now maybe Deion felt he was limited in his play calling.
Maybe he was not an attractive OC far as recruiting goes.

look what they accomplish this week without a name OC…

I see him as a super talented play caller that should be a head coach candidate. With a rebuild in Colorado, would I want a one year rental? Or try to get consistency during the rebuild.

I think he would be only a one year rental because he is talented as hell and offers would come. I done wonder if he would like to be a head coach at the college level.

Damn I really like DMac personality

He’ll be missed, I think that’s four d linemen gone that actually played

So coach having this defensive line focused weekend will be huge…

He got his sights set on the top transfer DT’s… I think two coming visit

Coach Prime say that D-line coming now that offense line got the attention…

So I’m guessing a d tackle coach will get hired soon…

Then they spend that money on them big boys…

Announce the offensive coordinator
Then sign that the top running back and a backup qb
I thought they were hiring Warren Sapp?

I thought they were hiring Warren Sapp?

Probably get announce soon

Prime never said What his job would be analyzing or coach…

But said they he like what sapp brings to the table…

The guys just gravitated to him when he was on campus..

The unknown is could he coach/teach them up. Being their coach vs just giving them pointers…

I think they should hire him, especially if he wants to be there…being under Dansy and Kelly should be a nice introduction into coaching.
Hell even get Ed Reed to work along with coach Kelly.

I think he’s waiting to see what happens with Chip Kelly before naming Pat OC

If he has another year, why is he declaring for the draft? Last year wasn’t very productive for him.
