This is something I can appreciate. I wish other colleges would have some in house media that would give insights into the programs. I heard there’s like a squad of dudes that wanted to all commit at the same time. Prime told them not to… they should spread it out so everyone can get a little shine…

All Black Linemen, a new TE, a healthy McCaskill, with most of the starters coming back. There is a lot of Offensive potential this coming year.

How is it looking on Defense looking though?

I don’t think the ole will be all black, they had some guards that might get that starting gig

But to go deeper into your statement…

Tyler Brown and David Conner didn’t even play last year… that’s will be two bodies to add depth to the front… along with new guys…

Just Lost Aaron Butler, was looking forward to him being there early…. But apparently Tennessee might lose their ATH to Boulder

NIL isn't the reason why the Tennessee Vols missed on key recruit

NIL isn't the reason why the Tennessee Vols missed on key recruit

When five-star offensive lineman Jordan Seaton spurned the Tennessee Vols (plus Ohio State, Oregon, and Alabama) in favor of the Colorado Buffaloes earlier this week, the immediate reaction from fans was that NIL must have played a factor.

What else would explain choosing a program that's trending in the wrong direction (Colorado lost eight of its last nine games in 2023) over several programs that are in a much more stable situation?

49ers' latest injury news will force rookie into bigger role

It turns out, though, that Tennessee offered Seaton a substantial NIL deal to come to Rocky Top.

According to WBIR, Tennessee offered Seaton a seven figure deal to sign with the Vols.

From WBIR: Highly-coveted five-star class of 2024 offensive tackle Jordan Seaton turned down a seven-figure Name, Image and Likeness offer at Tennessee to commit to Colorado instead, sources tell WBIR.

Sources said Tennessee and its NIL collective were feeling good about their chances of landing the final uncommitted five-star recruit in the 2024 class in the days leading up to his decision, and Seaton's ultimate choice of Colorado came as a surprise.
While it's unclear what kind of NIL money Seaton may have received from Colorado, it's hard to imagine that it's significantly more than what Tennessee was offering.

Colorado coach Deion Sanders, in fact, has maintained that he's not "buying" players/recruits this offseason.

"We want players that want us," said Sanders to The Athletic last month. "Trying to convince somebody and doing that, being held hostage financially, we ain't with that. We're not going to buy anybody whatsoever. We have tremendous needs. I'm pretty sure everybody in the country knows what we need and how much we need. That's not a secret and recruits are responding."

Sanders told The Athletic that NIL deals would be handled on the "back end", insinuating that players at Colorado only receive legitimate NIL deals based on companies wanting to partner with players.

Tennessee clearly did all they could to bring Seaton to Knoxville. But ultimately, it appears that Seaton preferred the glitz and glamor of the Colorado sidelines to teams with winning records.

Seaton's comments after visiting Tennessee for the Vols' game against Georgia last month indicated that seeing celebrities on the sideline was going to be an important factor in his decision.

There's not much Tennessee can do to land a player when that's the priority.

Mann I’m thinking about this…

Dude announced on Undisputed, then made his rounds to other friends of Deion…

I remember Keyshawn telling him, he’s do whatever it took to help him.
You know Irving is 10 toes down with him…

This shit is really next level…
That NIL money gets there it’s no telling what will happened…

UTEP OL transfer Justin Mayers commits to Deion Sanders, Colorado

Griffin McVeigh
Deion Sanders is going to dip into the NCAA transfer portal hard this offseason, especially on the offensive line. Colorado was able to secure another commitment on Saturday night, with former UTEP OL Justin Mayers heading to Boulder.

A ton of experience will be joining the Colorado program, with Mayers playing in 24 games over the past two seasons. Mayers is an interior player as UTEP’s left guard. With how desperate the Buffaloes were for blockers, there is a good chance he has an immediate opportunity for playing time.

Before the 2023 season even ended, Sanders admitted Colorado would have to hit the portal for new guys. Sheduer Sanders was getting killed out there and killing any kind of chance they had on offense. Landing somebody like Mayers will help the cause while transitioning into the Big 12.

Mayers played high school football at Frisco (TX) Reedy, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 2,919 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
